I went to a chase bank yesterday and they told me if I want to transfer 50k UR from my ink plus account to my SW account for a CPI can and it would register a 1:1 ratio. I heard @dan saying many times you can only transfer to Marriott (I think) then to Southwest.  But The bank clerk told me I can do it through the bank a 1:1 ratio. Anyone experienced ?

Never mind my last post. This is a quote from the DD website.
Points transferred from Ultimate Rewards to Southwest don’t qualify towards companion pass status, but points transferred from Ultimate Rewards into Hyatt and then into Southwest do qualify. So you can transfer 50K Ultimate Rewards points into 50K Hyatt and 50K Hyatt transfers into 30K Southwest.

Generally, a points bonus is awarded because you are a first time customer.

If you already have a number, then chances are that you are no longer "first time".  I like to play it safe, (However, I think same RRs have reached the 110K, as well.)
When you open both a premier and a plus. they are 2 different products, so each one is eligible for it's own bonus.  So you can open them under the same RR#.

And doing that will automatically make it so that each 50k is going towards the CP.... right?.....and if they were opened up separately under two diff RR #s, how do I combine the two into one account in order to make it eligible for one CP?

I have one. I would post it but some guys would abuse the hell out of it and get it killed.

I hear it's going public again now anyways.

not really, occasionally you can get offers from 0.9-1.1 but the real value is much more and you can get gift cards for roughly that. Your best bet is find someone who is booking a standard flight and offer to sell him points for1.3-1.5 and both parties do nicely.

what gift card did you get SW or from a retailer?
Disregard.  I just realized my RR account was probably in limbo from when I closed my SW card but that information hadn't quite made it to Southwest yet.
