Cheapest a couple weeks ago was $200-$350 depending on the city. Now it's $90-$200...

Mogilevsky started at $150 from the get go.

are you referring to A ?
I'm pretty sure he had a sale last night (don't know if anything saleable)

In other news:
a pretty nice write-up here
https://crownheights.info/something-jewish/593070/593070/

nice piece that could have done well with leaving the medrash out. Stick to mesorah and historical halacha, why throw in a midrash on rome ?

Besides, the gemara says that shlomo hamelech woke up late because the daughter of pharoh created a planetarium with witchcraft and his room was dark

A. for his target audience (this was written for a chabad platform) the discussion of the midrash and the Rebbe's resolution thereof is of interest.
B. some here have raised that question in rejection of the "moshe took from there" mesorah, this defense (simply written/summarized) is of interest as well)

The gemara says the twins remus and romelus were nursed by a wolf.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romulus_and_Remus

Im not such a big fan of throwing medrash aggadah into halachik and mesoraic discussion. I feel it distorts reality, kind of like the fables my teachers taught me in yeshiva, also its debated on how much of midrash aggadah is to be taken literally.

Maybe king shlomo flew on his eagle to calbaria to get an esrog ?

For me, that the tosefites were getting esrogim from there is as strong of a mesorah as needed.

ok i read the article and he basically says the same thing but very drawn out. Chabad rabbi's need to master of the art of prose. Great piece but I dont like the way its laid out. Initially he lost me after a few paragraph's

Put them next to a heater. Not too close, but nothing works like heat. I've seen someone use a hairdryer.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Esrog salesman told me it should only be done for less than 24 hours, as the apple can also ruin the esrog.

Any apple? Or specifically yellow?

I saw an Esrog merchant do it.

I presume placing the Esrog on a high shelf or on top of the cabinets in the kitchen will help.
