Sounds like a case of DROPR to me.

The ConEd link specifically says $10,000 discount through September 30th. Tax credit has nothing to do with that.

https://www.coned.com/en/save-money/rebates-incentives-tax-credits/rebates-incentives-tax-credits-for-residential-customers/get-10_000-off-a-nissan-leaf#.WcgnI4S8tVE.email
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

NJ doesnt offer a rebate but does waive sales tax on elec vehicles so prob same price effectively as NY. If MSRP is 32,000, should cost 15,000 plus dealer fees and title.

I wish this made sense for me, it is so enticing. But with a 150 mile per day commute and gas covered, plus I'm unable to fully take advantage of the tax credit... It just doesn't make sense

My mistake for being unclear. In NY there are 3 rebates, federal, state, utility. In nj there is no state rebate, but also no tax

Can anyone list a dealer that has this in stock in ny and knows how to work these rebates?

Anyone ever do a 350+ mile trip in one of these? Seems like I would have to stop every 2 hours or so for 30+ minutes each (assuming quick-charge available and no line).
Ill buy one of these for local usage as a second car, my daughter has one in CA and loves it.

Don't feel so bad.  They are coming out with another one in 2018 that will be able to go 40-50 miles beyond the 107 mile limit of the Leaf.  This is still early in the game for these cars.  Computers used to be the size of a room and now they fit into a watch.  Thumbdrives used to be in KB and now go up to 256/512 GB!  The sales' war on these cars hasn't even begun yet.  We have time.
