Pretty sure this thread got off topic just a bit.....

I will be applying for this card, as it will get me SPG points faster than the SPG Amex card..... Just too bad the two places I spend most of my money (non tuition) dont take Amex......
Keep us updated on how it works out. Might be moving there soon.  :)
I just found a new supply of forks!

For 5x at grocery stores, moving could pay for itself pretty quickly....

MR converts to SPG at a 2 to 1 ratio. This card is restricted from airline transfer partners, but not hotel partners.. unless they change it..
CMIIW but MR to SPG is 3 to 1

That's regular MR. Canadian is 2 to 1.

The MR from This card can’t be transferred to airlines. I am wondering if I have a platinum or gold card if the MR is pooled, allowing the points to be transferred to airlines. Similar to the RBC Rewards program that allowes you to transfer all your RBC Rewards to AA or BA as long as you have an Avion card.

I just got the card. T&C specifically limit Cobalt from airline transfer partners.

If someone just moved to Canada and has good credit only in the USA will they likely be approved for this card?

If you have a US AMEX, you should be able to use global transfer to get approved
