standard customer service. if you call when night time there, they will take note of it, but not guaranteed, if you call 7am and further [5pm est, dont call to much later the hold times get much longer during the daytime there], they normally talk to department who do it instantly and within 24 hours you get it back. best to cancel yourself online and just say you need points asap [or the might hit you with service charge]

okay better than back in the late Fall 2020 award economy seats were very scarce
can you now easily check availability on Qantas website or still better to go to EL AL website to check?

I just realized that I lost 720k Qantas points. When there was big bonus to transfer from Amex a while back, I took advantage thinking that I'd be able to use on Elal often, I never used them and now I logged in to see they expired 12/31/2020
I saw the trick from here on how to add car rental points, not sure I am eligible for that.
If I was, would it still work?
If not, is there any hope?
Thanks in advance

You can try to call them to get them reinstated. Back in December they were emailing links to extend the miles by 6 months. If you can extend them, book and cancel an award for free by February 22 to get another 18 months.

No easy way to check... (if I missed it, pls enlighten me).  I think it’s simply 18 months from the last point of activity...

+1.
I had a hard time figuring out if a canceled award extends the points. Needed to call in to confirm that.

Thank you, I'm trying now.

Any idea if ElAl still partners with Qantas for reward tickets? or any good option of transferring Qantas to an airline that flies direct to Israel

This might not be the right thread, but close enough.

I booked an Emirates Flight with Qantas Classic awards for my wife and myself. Upon booking I entered my wifes 'married' last name, soon to realize that her passport is still on her 'maiden' name. After a week of calling and waiting on hold for hours I finally got to speak to a Qantas rep which told me that that it is impossible to change the name on existing bookings, the only option would be to cancel and rebook, that would put availability in jeopardy with bigger chances on loosing those seats. Emirates didn't want to even talk to me because it's not their ticket at all. At this point do I have any other options besides changing the passport?
Would they let us on to the flight with the passport, Picture ID, and marriage license?
Thanks in advance.

Can anyone help? I see that a particular flight that I have has availability on El Al, but only for 1, when I put in 2 it disappears.  Can it be that they only offer one at a time and if I purchases 1 another will open up?  Should I risk it? I can always get refunded but it takes many weeks to get poins back and I will lose out on other opportunities.

If theres only one, it means only 1 seat is currently available, they will show more then one if available

Does that change over time and as they get closer they add seats, or if at this point they don't have they won't add more as it gets closer?

it definitely can change, but there is no known pattern as to how it changes
