No you can’t book Miami.

It used to be possible, I’ve booked it myself when it was. It no longer works, for whatever reason, just like first class no longer works.

I'm seeing availability for my dates and want to transfer from Marriott. From what I'm seeing here, it can take 3-4 days? Any way to minimize the risk of the delay? I tried calling to see if they'll put a hold but they said they can't.

Any way to search direct flights only? I noticed that you can get a calendar with all available dates if you choose initially a date that has no availability. However this will include connecting flights as well.

Since I didn't see any responses here, I just went for it. Called Marriott to see how long the transfer would take, and they called their rep at Qantas who told them that the points transfers all get collected during the week, and then get processed on Saturdays. She told me to expect to see the points hit my account Wed/Thu next week. So in the end, it could take 8-9 days for transfer! I'll update with the actual timing, but this seems ripe for getting your points stuck in Qantas.

I thought I had 26k TY points but turns out most were not transferrable since they were from my bank account.

I did transfer 1k as a test, it said I should expect them in 24 hours. We'll see, but kind of moot since I have to wait on Marriott.  Marriott has a better transfer ratio anyway, though.
