Any way to search direct flights only? I noticed that you can get a calendar with all available dates if you choose initially a date that has no availability. However this will include connecting flights as well.

Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I'm seeing availability for my dates and want to transfer from Marriott. From what I'm seeing here, it can take 3-4 days? Any way to minimize the risk of the delay? I tried calling to see if they'll put a hold but they said they can't.

Since I didn't see any responses here, I just went for it. Called Marriott to see how long the transfer would take, and they called their rep at Qantas who told them that the points transfers all get collected during the week, and then get processed on Saturdays. She told me to expect to see the points hit my account Wed/Thu next week. So in the end, it could take 8-9 days for transfer! I'll update with the actual timing, but this seems ripe for getting your points stuck in Qantas.

After transfers from Citi quicker?

I thought I had 26k TY points but turns out most were not transferrable since they were from my bank account.

I did transfer 1k as a test, it said I should expect them in 24 hours. We'll see, but kind of moot since I have to wait on Marriott.  Marriott has a better transfer ratio anyway, though.

Correct, Qantas should have the same availability.

whats the chances within the year another point type (chase or amex for example) becomes transferable to Qantos?  Whats the chances that if that happens availability will vanish.

Now? Correct. But I signed up for the 35k SPG offer x2 before it went away, and maxed my spend on SPG until they devalued this summer.

All the Marriott points have transferred now after 5 days. But prior to that i transferred 1,000 TY and they still have not appeared in my account, leaving me 1k short for my reservation. I could top off for $35, but apparently not since my Qantas account is less than 30 days old.

Anyone know how long TY points should take to transfer? All the articles I've read online say 2 days, but it's been 5. Citibank's T&Cs say up to 14 days, but that hopefully is not accurate.

NVM, Citibank points came in about 12 hours later, and I was luckily able to make the Qantas booking with no issues (so far!).

Just as a data point, my TY to Qantas transfer only took a day (1K just to test)

I'm curious to see how long a transfer from Barclays takes, but it's 5K minimum and I don't feel like doing it until I definitely need to book...

That's interesting. What day did you test it? When I called Marriott last week, they said that all requests are bundled and processed on Saturdays, so if you did it closer to that day (I did Tuesday), perhaps that's why you got speedier transfer. Obviously you were using TY not Marriott, but I'm guessing it is processed similarly.
