Dunno if anyone else noticed this or if it's a glitch or something. But Y class ex-TLV is less miles than ex-NYC. Ex-NYC is 42k for a one way (and 84k RT) while ex-TLV is just 37.8k (and 75.6k RT)!!!
Effectively, even when booking from the US RT, it's worth booking 2 one ways to save 4.2k

Its here, and it's bad. 90k J to TLV from NYC, 70.8k P.
37.8k in Y is the new rate some of which is being adapted now, the rest of the changes are in effect Sept. 18.
104.5k from MIA in J.
119.2k from the west coast in J.

So here's the breakdown
Lower Y fares.
Higher J fares on longer routes.
Lower YQ.
5 new partners.
Promised more availability.
Solid devals for LY, luckily we get the good only until Sept.

I guess that explains why ex-TLV has the new rate. Because it's Jun 20th here already.... And yes, J and PE have stayed the same so far BH

The AMEX bonus is just leveling it back out to old rates somewhat

The +s
1. No dynamic pricing
2. Lower YQ - TBD
3. More seats - TBD

If partners are to get more seats this wont be that bad at all. UA charges for partners 85K with no UR bonuses, Amex and Citi have had bonuses in the past which brings it down.

They are creating a status for ground based spending, which may be intrestesting and if successful, is there a possibility other airlines will follow?

When will the cheaper economy rates start showing?
Worth to hold off booking?

not too bad.
For J it’s a hit. But promos level it out.

For Y it’s a win.
