You can transfer AMEX Or Citi points to Qantas at a 1:1 ratio, Barclays points at a 1.4:1 ratio, Capital One points at a 2:1.5 ratio, or Marriott points to Qantas at a 60K:25K ratio.

Qantas doesn’t charge fuel surcharges for El Al flights.
Infants are free (besides taxes). They also get a regular checked baggage allowance of 23 kg.

QF runs regular transfer bonus promos. Be sure to transfer 500 points into your account and opt in for emails to get targeted.

Flights are bookable from NYC, BOS, MIA, and LAX.

SMS is the easiest way to contact Qantas. The number is 1-478-772-6827. This can be used for airports that are unavailable online.

NYC-TLV is 37.8k points each way in Y, 63k in premium economy and 78k in J.
On 9/18/19 premium economy will be going up to 70.8k and J will be going up to 90k (each way).
Cancellation fee is 6k points.

Not really. IL phone reps are pretty decent. Probably from the only airlines in the world, where every rep is intelligent and a citizen of the Country of the airline... (If the Hebrew isn't an issue for you) They don't forward your call to the Philippines

PSA: QF issued award tickets must be booked & issued in X/P/E class respectively. If your flight gets canceled and you are not happy with the flight you have been rebooked to, and you call yelling/screaming/whining/crying and QF rebooks you in a revenue bucket, you might be denied boarding

qantas canceled my booking by mistake and it’s not available online anymore and just hung up with them and they said they’ll try to find a way to robook me.

Anything to be scared of?

Have flights from TLV-JFK/EWR disappeared again from QF? I was able to book August flights using points from JFK-TLV but now trying to book return flights late august and getting only a stop in Hong Kong? Is it because they're forcing it to go through the British site?

This is off topic but I am going to Israel in October and will be earning awards points for my flights.  Other than Matmid are there any other awards programs I could credit the earned points.
