Most flights are still blocked. It's very limited flights that do show. However, AA can also be booked now via QF and they have pretty generous availability. There is YQ, but the mileage requirement is less which makes up for some of that.

yes I noticed that but as you pointed out YQ still too high IMO to make it worthwhile (approx over $325 each way!).  Gosh, sometimes you can find paid flights for approx $700 to $800 roundtrip with no points!

All these past posts about booking El AL flights with Qantas it seems are not really relevant for now until something changes etc.......

true but maybe more debatable as some like to use points over $

anyway my main point is I wish there was a way search Qantas awards availability on EL Al metal without going day by day search as checking with el-al does not translate to Qanats site
maybe we can get an updated main site post or someone can figure how to find Qantas site dates

The flights that are blocked from NYC are 02, 08, and 026. Other flight numbers generally show if they're available. From TLV the blocked flights are 01 and 027.
You may need to be flexible between JFK and EWR too

what exactly do I need to see on el al website award flights (points wise) to make it possible to book on Qantas?

Is Qantas known to open availability for elal  as the  date of the flight comes closer? like for succos dates. How come their sold out of elal flights this year if no one can go?

its a hassle you need to email qantas and fill out form, you need boarding pass and ticket, sometimes some follow up emails, generally hardly worth the hassle. on a coach rt you get 5700 points

anyone know if qantas is extending there points expiration past Dec 31? If not, all i need to do to extend is transfer 1000 points from Amex?

I  transferred american express points to Qantas in 2019 when they were giving bonus points and booked flight to Israel for 2020. Covid came and flight canceled and received the points back. How do I keep points alive. Afraid that they will expire. I dont have american express card anymore. All I have are chase cards.
