And for people who get into debt that is some very good advice.
It seems to me that people who look for this kind of thing are all ready in trouble and need help getting out of debt.
Its a shame they don't teach budgeting in school.

agreed - teaching budgeting in school will teach us a lot more life skills than cursive, cosines/tangents/obtuse angles, etc..

Although, right now it's having all these ccs that are actually helping us financially
and giving us great flight, hotels, and vacations than we'd ever dream of in school.
(maybe a khan academy style course on building credit early, positive, financial responsibility, and cc for beginners for 18+ can be given by dan...)   ;)

yes, that's my point too - as long as they've/we've learned self-control (not overspending) in school/home

Many people find that even though you get a lot of value out of CCs (fraud protection, extended warranties, and of course valuable points) that they end up sinking into debt when they use CCs for everyday purchases. That's what manufactured spend is all about people!! Even using only this on your CCs you can rack up a sizeable amount of points.

I use an app on my phone calle "My Budget Book" it allows me to track all my expenses and income easily in the palm of my hand. I can tell you up to the minute what my financial picture looks like. It allows me to budget and tells me if i'm over or under the budget each month.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

How much is your budget?
Mine is around $100/day which includes a yearly 13k piggybank.
Have no outstanding loans/debt.
I just use Excel.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half
