Of course now the status line has no record of any applications for me. So now I have to call recon again to find out status?

Hubs: CSP denied 7/15 "since he was an AU on my account and had access to a card." First new CC in 10 years. Cx AU, tried again 3/26. Denied via snail mail. "Too many credit cards opened in the last two years". Eight new cards. FICO 806 on 3/29. Sigh.

Last year's denial reason was garbage, you probably could've recon-ed it with very little effort. This years reason is much tougher.

I tried recon on my first card application, the Ink, after doing my homework and it was still an epic fail. Not going to try on this one. I'm crossing Chase off the list. Not about to wait 2 years and lose out on other offers. I don't think their cards aren't valuable enough to offset opportunity cost.

Called a few times to check status, recording said "we will notify you in about 2 weeks" which as per the wiki means pending, however when I called now it changed to "we will notify you in 7-10 business days" which as per the wiki means declined. Any ideas?

Wait three days to see if the message changes. If it doesn't, call in for verification.

The fact that the message "we will notify within 7-10 business days of our decision" means declined, and "we will notify you in about 2 weeks time" means pending. is 100% correct!

It's giving me the 30 days message. I've called in a few times and I keep getting that there's nothing they can do, it needs to go through the process, no way to expedite. Is that true? Any point in continuing to HUCA?

when I got the 30 day message they said I was declined automatically without a pull because I received the sign up bonus within 24 mos.

I applied for 2 cards on 3/28 and they said my application was sent to another dept that I cannot speak to, I was told I would have a decision by Friday. I called today and they said its still pending and could be up to 30 days from my application date. Has anyone dealt with this other dept or had an application take this long?

See this discussed a lot but no agreement so I'll ask for recent experience… applied on 3/31 for freedom & Hyatt both said 7-10 when I applied & when I call now it says 2 weeks… should I call or let it play it out?

Applied Thursday for 2 cards, approved one, second got the 2 week msg. My second app got approved today automatically ( without calling)
