Idk if huca will or won't help, but it is an official rule
Do you know if HUCA will allow to close old and open new?
Curious if any approach is feasible..

If it's for the same business, I would wait. For a diff business, I would give it a go

So called recon, was told would need to shift some of my existing credit to open the united explorer (min. $5k CL).
I had 7k on the CSP, and 2k on the freedom, rep tells me cant the CSP can not go below $5k CL,
So I thanked him, and called CS to move $5k to the freedom,
Called recon again, and was told they can not shift more than $2k from the freedom, only option would be to close the freedom completly.

Why is that?

Called and they refuse to budge. Rep said theyre "not a FICO lender". What does that mean. They were concerned about a few high balances even though payment history is perfect. Any ideas?

Chase United business went into pending status, and then declined. Called Chase and they said reason is because I already have three cards on this business. They did  a manual review when I asked if they can relocate credit from another card, and declined it again. They said too much credit extended as it is. I explained that I have a perfect track record with them but that didn't help. Any chance HUCA will do anyting?

Means they care more about the details in your report, than the actual score.

Put in an application for Ink Preferred on 1/27, called them a few times on 1/27 and 1/28, they put me in ‘secondary’. Unchanged until today, when after two HUCA attempts I was told that it was declined unless I could verify a bunch of personal and business info, basically they want proof of my physical and mailing addresses for personal and business. Just fired off a 10-page fax, I expect to be approved once they finish going through all of it, they told me 2-3 business days.

I got an ink a couple month back, and they wanted proof of address. Not sure if it's a new trend, or if some of us are just special...

I think it must have something to do with the fact that it was a second Ink for the same business (which they didn’t have a problem with once I explained that it was for a separate line of business, tracking different expenses, yadda yadda), but when the first card was set up back in 2014 I don’t think they really collected all of the necessary demographic info and I think USA PATRIOT makes them get more info now. I also noticed that the business registration with the state had an outdated address (which I’ve already submitted a correction for), so that might’ve annoyed them also.

I called again today and they hadn’t yet processed my faxed info yet but told me without telling me that the only thing holding up the approval is the address/identity verification stuff, so I’m not at all worried, just a paperwork annoyance and lost opportunities to catch some deals. ;D

Any idea's on the recon line, I settled on a chase freedom card ($2500 balance) 7 years ago. I have since then done a 180 on credit worthiness etc... But Chase wont even consider approving a new card, is there a way to come out of Chase purgatory or once there its a lifetime sentence?
