PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

side note
Not a good time to apply for a chase biz
I'd still appreciate a legitimate answer to my question above.

So I applied for a Chase Sapphire Reserve since I haven't had a Sapphire product in more than four years, and was denied because I got a 5k authorized user bonus three years ago.  They couldn't give me more information than this, and then I asked for more details, the rep (and I spoke to many until I even got here) said that no matter the reason, even if I prove them wrong, I just won't be able to get the card.

Any ideas or just suck it up?

Just got turned down for a biz card (first time applying for card for this LLC biz) reason stated I have too many personal cards. (offered to shift credit, sounded satisfied, came back after 2 min hold and tone changed)
I have many cards that I have open for years that I have no use of (Slate, for example) but kept it open to maintain length of credit history.
Is it worth closing some of those now so I have the opportunity to potentially reapply in a couple of months?

Chase is claiming it wasn't you who applied for the card, recon is just saying case closed if you want you can reapply.
Letter is saying We couldn't confirm your info on application
Anyone have that?

If someone applied for chase card got denied for 5/24 but he wasn't and it was because of him being an authorized user on his parents account.
Can chase reconsideration push through the application?
Keep calm and move on

Got pending, then called and got rejected for united explorer based on "insufficient history" to extend the minimum credit line which is 5000 (which is a lot more than my current limit).
They put me on hold for a while while reconsidering, bit that was the result.
I've been AU for bunch of years, had my own freedom unlimited for over 6 months, and in great standing, CS is good.
Any advice? Is huca worth anything?

The United usually requires approx 12-month history on your own card

Don't give up just yet.
Ask them if they can shift some of your existing credit from the freedom.
Definitely HUCA.

Thanks. Tried once, and offered that, said no, not big enough of a credit line on the freedom to shift

500. (Embarrassed emoji)
Was thinking about asking them to raise it in the past, never got around it.
Do you think I can use out the credit pull to raise the credit line
