Chase Fraud # 2: 1-800-278-8830
(If you have a fraud alert on your account, recon will instantly transfer you here for verification, so you might as well call directly)

To fax in verification documents:
#1: 888-643-9624
#2: 888-643-9628
#3: 201-328-3289 (according to a rep from this dept, it's quicker than the other listed numbers)

Chase CS #: 1-800-432-3117

To know whether your application is pending or declined:
Call CS 1-888-338-2586 or 1-800-432-3117 and press # or 1. (If it's asking for your full 16 digits account number, it's 1. If it's asking for only your last 4 digits, it's #)
Press 3, then 1, then key in your SSN.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing of our decision, in approximately 2 weeks
It's pending.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision
It's been declined.

Business cards application status: call 800-453-9719.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

Got denied initially for duplicate applications. But called after 30 days , was approved after shifting credit.

So you got a 2 week message, and then the status changed to a denial?
That does not happen often.

Ran into an odd problem where I applied on behalf of my wife for a CSP doing a MDD after the CSR. Initially was marked as pending and after calling was told the application was pending. No formal decision was made and we called back 3-4 weeks later and were told that the application was achieved because of suspicious activity and that a letter had been sent (never got it). Given reports here of people getting approved >4 weeks after application is anyone familiar with this and whether we should HUCA to insist application is reopened?

Applied for the Sapphire Preferred card and I’m being asked for proof of income. I’m currently over 5/24 (at time of application I wasn’t). Will they check if I’m over 5/24 when I send in proof of income or will they go according to the credit check they pulled already?

"Thank you for your request. We need to review your request a little longer. We will let you know of our decision as soon as possible"
Is that likely approved or declined?

What does the phone message say?
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

That's usually a good sign. It may get approved in the next day or two or you will need to verify something or shift CL etc.

Not a good nor a bad sign.
It means the application is under review, it can go either way.
2 week message on the other hand, is a good sign.

Call the application status line, it will change to either 2 weeks (good sign) or 7-10 days (bad sign).

Compared to the 7-10 day message its a good sign, and it also means that its not an auto decline (including 5/24, 1/48 etc.) and IME has a strong likelihood to get approved by verifying ID, shifting CL etc.
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

A change to the 7-10 days could also mean that they need to talk to you for verification etc.

Did 2BM for CSP & United Quest, CSP initially declined, United got little icon that page still processing for 20+ min, not sure if application even went through.

Called recon today for CSP, told me it was submitted for secondary review, I'll hear from them in 7-10 business days. What does that typically mean? In auto-denial email, they told me credit is at 813 (pulled from Experian), on Experian shows 745 but whatever...  CR has inquiries for car loan, HELOC (not chase), SBA etc (no cc's last 24 mo.). Had issue - their mistake - with business bank acct I closed 2 yrs ago - my mistake didn't report to CFB - but have 2 active Chase cc's, one personal from 4+ yrs, 1 bus 2+ yrs. opened after banking issue.  Is there at all a chance of approval?

Also what do I do now re United Quest? Was afraid to push my luck and didn't mention in recon call.

Thank you for your responses.

Did the Recon always take 25 minutes to reach someone? Remembered it taking 2-3 minutes before getting through to a representative.

 Any other working numbers?

Interesting, trying to help a freind.
Tried pushing the application through and was told give it 1-2 weeks.

Then when calling it says within 30 days. What's that supposed to mean?

Am I supposed to call again? Or just leave it at the moment?

As long as the phone system does not say 7-10 Days, Its not declined as of now. (The time frame given by a phone rep does not mean anything IME).
I would check again in a few days, It will either be approved, or if it will have the 7-10 day message I would call recon again to see what's going on.
