To fax in verification documents:
#1: 888-643-9624
#2: 888-643-9628
#3: 201-328-3289 (according to a rep from this dept, it's quicker than the other listed numbers)

Chase CS #: 1-800-432-3117

To know whether your application is pending or declined:
Call CS 1-888-338-2586 or 1-800-432-3117 and press # or 1. (If it's asking for your full 16 digits account number, it's 1. If it's asking for only your last 4 digits, it's #)
Press 3, then 1, then key in your SSN.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing of our decision, in approximately 2 weeks
It's pending.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision
It's been declined.

Business cards application status: call 800-453-9719.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

Interesting, trying to help a freind.
Tried pushing the application through and was told give it 1-2 weeks.

Then when calling it says within 30 days. What's that supposed to mean?

Am I supposed to call again? Or just leave it at the moment?
Pending, nothing you can do only call once a day and see if anything changed.

My last 2 biz apps weren't showing up in the automated status line i think its broken

As long as the phone system does not say 7-10 Days, Its not declined as of now. (The time frame given by a phone rep does not mean anything IME).
I would check again in a few days, It will either be approved, or if it will have the 7-10 day message I would call recon again to see what's going on.
I applied online with him. His first card. Got declined right away.
Curious what most write when applying for the first time? In terms of income?

So called Recon and got them to push for 1-2 weeks and automated line says 30 days.

I remember from previous times that's means an approval.

I guess I'll or he'll have to wait it out 1-2 days and see if anything changes.

I Guess so. Hang on and sit tight.

From my prior experiences whenever calling in to try to get an approval I would usually get approved on the spot here they told me they need one or two weeks.
Going to give it a few days, and then if I don't see anything changed we'll call them back.

The regular status line no longer has the status of Business cards. You could check business cards status by calling 800-453-9719
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

IME it was always either a processing message, or i was transferred to a rep.
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

Haven't done this in a few years... Is it a real thing that chase can only do 1 recon per day or does that depend on the rep?
Thanks!

What are some good answers when they ask you “why have so many credit inquiries over past year”?

Declined on ink cash, even with HUCA x2. Worth a 3rd attempt as not want to waste a credit pull?

On my second try, the cs was rep was near rude saying how we already reconsidered and asking if I have anything new to add.

- not enough time passed since last approved (9 months)
- low utilization on current cards
-
- business structure

Applied for ink cash and ink unlimited the same day (1 with EIN, 1 as sole prop).

With EIN app I got a “We have received your request for a Chase credit card. We'll let you know our decision as soon as possible.”

For sole prop app, I got my first ever auto declined by Chase.

Should I be worried about what this can possibly mean?

I called recon and their response was that this app is NOT eligble for reconsideration. Anyone ever heard of such a thing?

Maybe you violated one of their hard rules such as 5/24? IIRC they also will not approve more than 2 cards in 30-day span.

only 3/24 and hadn't even applied for a chase card for past 6 months, except for yesterday's 2BM attempt.

When called recon on both, they had no questions for me on my EIN app as it's still being reviewed but will be notified in 7-10 business days.

Not sure if this is something but I applied for a personal and biz same time and the biz got an auto decline. On a recon call tbe rep said it's an auto decline for 2 apps in 1 day...
Declined for too many cards with chase...

Ended up Huca a few times and got it approved.

I applied for personal and 2 business within a few days.
Personal approved after a few days, business I needed to recon both, a few days apart but they were opened (possibly 30 days had already passed since the 1st was approved)

All one pull on the credit report IIRC.

Was told by business recon #2 that since have 9 cards (personal + business combined) with them, they don’t want to approve a 10th.

Will consolidating credit lines and then closing the associated cards hurt my credit score and/or relationship with chase? I figure can easily trim 3 x freedoms from portfolio with no decrease in credit line.

They also mentioned low credit usage as factor, which is my fault as have been focusing my spend attention on Amex cards. How much $/ how many months do I need to spend across cards before re-applying?

on my 3rd recon attempt (after closing 3 cards and moving a CL) i was told to call their verification department after telling my whole megillah and being put on hold a few times.

is this a good sign? i dont recall ever speaking with a verification dept before during recon.

Only one way to find out.
I got a (e)letter in the mail after a recon call telling me to talk to the verification team after which I was approved
