I applied for both ink cards, first was pending and got approved after calling recon..  the other was declined I called recon and they said they can not approve it because I have to many business cards  with them also the first card was approved with a high credit line.. I asked them to shift over from the first and they said since its a new card which was just approved  they can't move over anything.. I tried HUCA but he said that it was looked over by recon so they will not change the decision, any reason to call again? probably one will not say other than the first rep.. is this the case?
Call again and try to move credit line from one of your old business cards.

Chase Hyatt business card declined

#1 she says I had 5? Overdrafts on a personal checking account. I have never heard of this. I mean I've had overdrafts but I only had it temporarily and I always move the money over from another account whether it was chase etc and always covered overdraft

That's stupidity with my auto insurance company always bills me wrong way

#2 She said I have too many cards and too much available credit. I'm guessing that's on personal cards seems stupid and arbitrary. I explained This is exactly why I need the business card because I'm cutting down spending on my personal cards. So what then? Close my unused chase cards? Lower credit lines ?

#3 she said I have 4 business chase cards, 3 opened in last month

I explained that I want the Hyatt card specifically since I travel a lot, I have globalist status with Hyatt, I want to use card for perks etc .

She said it's being declined and that's it

Any thoughts ?

Call again and try to move credit line from one of your old business cards.

Tried this, Wont go.

They stated repeatedly that I had too many cards open too many recently and that I have too much credit

I think the real question is should I just drop this card application fight for now or is there something I can do to get them to change their mind and give me the card? What do you guys think?

So I called my personal card and cut down $ 5,000. It was mentioned that I should do more and on different cards and that it would be better to do this with recon on the business line. What do you guys think and how much would you think I need to cut down?

Hi,
I applied for a chase ink card and i got a letter that i need a “proof of federal tax ID for business”. I called recon and they said it means i need either a letter from the IRS or the secretary of my state with the business name, PIN and address. A W2 or 1099 is not acceptable.
Does anyone know what they want, or how to obtain these documents?

If you can help, I’d appreciate it!

I’m in the same boat. She said I have too much credit and 2 cards opened one year ago. Total of 4 ink cards. I offered to move around credit. I feel like the reconsideration dept got very tough. If anyone has any ideas pls…

No luck with recon, HUCAs, and all.

Really curious how others got multiple Ink cards.

I've had success by shifting around credit from other Ink cards... usually not an issue...

Unfortunately they either don't seem to think it's a valid solution, don't care, or just think that the other reasons overwhelm the high credit line issue. I've called many times to no avail. Funny thing is they keep giving me different reasons. I wonder if I close an old ink and wait 30 days if that'll tip the odds in my favor.

If issue is it's too much credit line, you can sometimes ask them to take some credit from other accounts and put it for this one...
