Why should there be two pulls?
because when you call again they usually pull it , since it wasnt pulled before

Let me rephrase that:

Two cards on the first try calling recon, one on the second try. I called a total of 4 times for 3 card.

Your personal experience included a freeze - doesn't make it usual.

What was mentioned here numerous times is that when you call app status and it says 2 weeks as apposed to 7-10 business days, it usually means approval.

Where do you come up with these things?
For multiple pulls:
Just checked citi identity monitor and it's showing 3 transunion pulls from Chase in march (meaning my 3bm didn't work!) What did i do wrong? I froze the E's and I applied for the three cards at the same time (max a few seconds apart) on diff computers. Am i doing something wrong, or is this just a bad YMMV situation?

For recommendation for approval vs approval:
I had to call recon for my card and they shifted some credit lines around and said I was being recommended for approval and would receive my card within 2 weeks, but it still hasn't shown up in my Chase Online account. That was on 8/12/11

Anyone have any ideas?
LOL it still hadn't shown up still so I called them again just now and they said it had been declined after recon had already shifted my credit lines around and said I would be approved.

She apologized profusely and said I would receive the card within a week.

The 2 week mention in that post was from a CSR and was specifically stated that there was no instant approval and it was being recommended. The 2 week message on the app status phone call is what you got CMIIR. That's completely different.

That edit included freezes, again that will many times defeat the 3bm, not your normal case.

That's exactly what I'm talking about.
Here's the link to when I think it was first mentioned.

It happens on all cards, and the recording will change in the coming days, although with the co-branded cards it usually takes longer as result of a longer procedure to create your new account.

I've called app status right after recon approved the card and the automated system was updated.
