Was trying to convince them to take part of the CL of the UAE card (they gave me 18k instant approval on that) to approve the BA card is it a problem that I just got that CL.

Correct.  I do this all the time.  I have one free card with each bank and when a fee comes due on a different card, I close it and transfer the credit line to the free card which I always keep open.

Better to convert cards to no AF ones and then use them as leverage when opening new ones.

Or close/transfer the card first and offer to transfer credit from your engorged credit line on Chase Freedom (or other free card) to open a new account.  I'm not sure one way is any better than the other.

"This is the 7th time you are calling. Nothing has changed. The decision is final".

How are you guys winning them over?
Any ideas now?

How come for some people they are getting notated by the reps and it seems other people aren't getting notated when HUCAing?

When they r saying "hold for a couple of minutes" that means that they r pulling the credit ? Or they just reviewing it?

I would like to close my united and IB cards can I downgrade to a fee free card? Or does transferring the CL close the card?
I also applied for 1)SP-instant approval
                            2) SW Premier-pending
                            3)SW Plus-pending
Should I call reconsideration right away?

It doesn't hurt to call reconsideration.
YMMV, but I was not given the option of downgrading my business cards, although I did have luck moving them to new cards.

I would bet we're all getting notated, and just the guys who called 6 or 7 times got yelled at because the reps felt it was too much.  Just because they don't tell you they can see you called 3 times already, doesn't mean they don't have that information in front of them.

When you move most of the CL is that considered closing the card?
I wanted to close my United by moving the CL and they said that you can't move all the CL you would have to leave over a little bit on the card-is that true?

Yes this is normal.  You usually have to give up at least $500 IME.

FYI, if you didn't specify that the account should be closed then it will remain open with whatever was left over.

yes i know unless i would like to pay the AF ;)
The reason to move the CL is to save the CL or is it better to close a card with less credit on it?

I have been told the following through SM:

"Please be advised that we are unable to consolidate the
full credit line because the following criteria is not
met:

- To consolidate an entire credit line, the account to be
closed must have a zero balance and no activity for at
least one month. The account that is to be closed will
have its credit line decreased to zero."

If you meet this criteria you should be able to transfer the full CL.

Been told the same. Otherwise you have to leave $500 CL on it. I always leave the $500 CL

I applied for both IB/IP.  Initially was denied on one of them (not sure which) because of two concurrent business apps.  Both were eventually approved.  Recently received the denial of credit letter from Chase, even though I was approved for the card (must've been automatically sent once I applied for both cards).  Can I use this to get an Experian credit report even though I was subsequently approved?
