PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

I applied for both IB/IP.  Initially was denied on one of them (not sure which) because of two concurrent business apps.  Both were eventually approved.  Recently received the denial of credit letter from Chase, even though I was approved for the card (must've been automatically sent once I applied for both cards).  Can I use this to get an Experian credit report even though I was subsequently approved?
yup

Just got mine, will be down to 8 inquiries total on EX by the end of the year when some more drop off.

Only 4 inquiries in the last 12 months. Looking good!

Just applied chase with 3bm

never had my own chase card (I am a joint/secondary for 8 years)

I have a grate score

1 approved for 8k
2 others declined
called recon twice no budging, as I have no credit to move and not enough history with them and 2 amex 6 months  ago

They need to see how I will handle my credit

Friend of mine was in a similar situation and was able to get approved by showing past paid Amex bills.

What makes you say its pretty recent? AFAIK they've always taken notes on calls. Unless you mean something else when you refer to "logging calls".

In the last few months I opened a chase sapphire and the united explorer. Also Citi Aadvantage. I only have been building my credit for bout one year. But credit is good and even got approved for lease few months ago. I applied for the BA card and they declined. She said to me why you applying for so much credit? I didn't know what to answer so I said trying to establish my credit. She said don't do that then! I told her to look at my history cuz it's good but she said I have too many inquiries.. I tried asking her to transfer credit but that didn't work either.. Any suggestions?

To keep it simple, its recent they have been letting everyone know that they are taking notes. ;)

So called back almost 30 days later to see if I could get 1 or 2 more approved and was declined becuase I had too many new accounts and too many recent inquiries - 3 business cards in last 6 months (2 in January with Chase, and 1 IP now), and I also had screwed up a 4 BM with AMEX that ended up being like 3 inquiries.
He would not budge on moving credit line over. When I pressed him for why that matters as they would not extend any new credit he basically said he has no idea, he was not a financial analyst - i.e. he just reads off a paper and cannot think for himself.
Anyone have any insight as to the reasoning behind Chase refusing to move CL for a new account in my situation?
Guess I'll just wait another 6 months or so.

Better answer would be for the perks of card. Only suggestion is that they keep app open for at least 30 days. When they review they will use (probably) TU info from credit pull at time of application, and any new Chase info they have. Call back and explain why you are good credit risk (pay bills on time etc) and hope they approve or agree to transfer part of credit line from other cards. Good luck.
