Still nothing.. Maybe I messaged the wrong department? Which category do you put the message in?
Just got a message back from them...And they approved me! (with a CL transfer)

Chase - call reconsideration or just wait?
« Reply #4001 on: October 20, 2013, 04:55:26 PM »
I just did a 3BM for Chase Sapphire, Chase Ink, and Chase B.A.  For all three, I got the following message:

Thank you for submitting a credit card application to Chase.

Here's what you can expect next:

We'll let you know of our decision through U.S. mail within the next 30 days. Please don't resubmit
this application while waiting for our decision.

If we approve your application, we'll send your card and other important information to you by U.S
mail. Once you receive your card, call the number on the sticker right away so you can take
advantage of everything your card has to offer.

If we don't approve your application, we'll send you a letter explaining why.

Thank you for applying for a Chase credit card.

My question is: Should I call Chase and ask them to approve the cards or should I wait a week or two and hope they approve them on their own?

I just recently downgraded my Sapphire and canceled my Chase Ink last week, so I don't really know how to answer questions if they ask why I just canceled them and am I signing up for the cards again, since I'm really only doing it for the sign up bonuses.

What's the consensus - call or wait, and then call only if they decline?

Most people have reported not getting approved without calling after receiving such a message. I have tho but I wouldn't rely on that.

BU HAKASUV HASHLISHI.....
AFAIK whenever someone is not getting approved instantly he will always get the above message, then he haves to start playing HUCA, see if he gets the 7-10 days message or 10 days message etc....

It was a shakle vetaryeh up thread what to do when someone is getting the 10 business days message, people claimed that it pays to wait.. though I am not sure exactly what the shakle vetaryeh was.

Chase recently has been being very strict with apps.. It has become quite hard to push through three apps, even with plenty of credit and no request for new credit. Will take quite some hucas but if you have decent credit and can transfer over from alternate credit lines don't give up!!!

Thanks for your response, but my question still stands.  Should I first wait to see if they will approve the cards on their own and then only call if I get denied, or should I call now and try to push them through?

In Chase branch now, having the banker send a personal recommendation to the credit card team to reconsider an app I've been declined for because I have $10K in my bank account. I was declined for too many new cards in too short a time. I will hopefully update here when I hear back.

Don't put much hope. Had it in the past, and it never worked. They were only able to shift CL. Until I found out about lending services aka recon, and they approved all my apps instantly. Of course this all stopped lately since lending services became very strict.

Can I (still) reapply for a chase card that I was denied for 4 months ago due to "to many recent open accounts"? On application it says "I have not been denied credit from chase for 6 months" would it be safe to check it off? (the last post I seem to find about this is 2011 & I was wondering if it still works)

Denials aren't any worse for your credit score than approvals. Each time you apply you get a pull on your report (which is bad) whether you get approved or denied.

You have big office expenses? Don't load 'em up on CCs! Get a business loan.
