Wait until closer to day 30, your app should be open 30 days from last HUCA, but make sure you have a good payment record (with Chase) as they should use old credit score, but new Chase credit info.

Just called about the united business card and asked if they can transfer and close the ink,
they didn't want to, since i have sufficient cards (approved for 2 other consumer's at same time).
She said will send a letter with decision.  Should I call again today or wait till day 30?

Can I (still) reapply for a chase card that I was denied for 4 months ago due to "to many recent open accounts"? On application it says "I have not been denied credit from chase for 6 months" would it be safe to check it off? (the last post I seem to find about this is 2011 & I was wondering if it still works)

any response ? please? thanks!

If app was today, it can't hurt to HUCA, as it is best day to call... Consumer and business are different enough that you have a chance...

Just wanted to share a success story.  I applied for 3 Chase cards using a 3BM this Sunday.  Last week, I downgraded my Sapphire preferred and cancelled my Ink card, so I could reapply for the sign up bonuses again.  My 3BM was for the Sapphire preferred again, the Ink Bold again, and the BA card with the awesome current promotion.  When I got pending status, I called up today and all 3 had been declined because of too many applications.  I was able to convince the representative to approve all 3 by just being super friendly and using some good sweet talking skills!  They actually moved most of my credit ($15,000 out of the $17,500) from the free Sapphire to the new Sapphire preferred (which is funny because it's from the Sapphire preferred that I just downgraded last week for this very purpose), cancelled my Hyatt (whose free night I already used and I didn't want to pay the upcoming annual fee anyway) to use credit for the Ink Bold, and took most of the credit from a super old Zappos card that I haven't used in years for the BA card.

Feeling really good about this, and thankful that I learned all these skills from Dan and the forums here! :)

I have a Chase BA from before, and did my first 2BM for the SP and United Explorer a few minutes ago, but (if I read the wiki correctly) have been declined for both. I just wanted to confirm that it's best to call first and get the SP approved, and then HUCA to ask about the UE, right? Do I need the application number for either of them, or just mention which card I'm talking about?
TIA!

Never mind, I ended up calling and got them both approved by the same CSR! (she said at first I was declined because the income was too low, but then we added my wife's income into the equation and she approved me for both cards).
Thanks to everyone for all of their advice the last couple weeks while I get familiar with the forum :)

Nice job! I joined over Chol Hamoed. It's crazy how much you can learn about an entirely new topic in just a few weeks. Schools should teach curriculums like this. :-p

If only we could figure out a way to make learning math somewhat addictive, and with large signup bonuses... :)

Supposedly if you're applying for the same card too soon after you closed it the first time, you could get approved but really won't get the bonus points again.

I believe Dan responded to this question before that for Chase cards there is no time limit and you can get the renewal bonus right away again.  It's for cards like SPG that I believe you need to wait a year before getting bonus again.

Is that correct?
