A different rep may be able to.

Can't hurt to try.
Recon'd again still not approved. But I guess it didn't hurt

If recon on day 30, is there another pull?

YMMV usually no. I'd guess the nicer you are to the cs rep the higher your chances of no pull.
In other words, very few have reported pull - not sure what they did to deserve it...

Ok, so question. Yesterday I applied for the SW card to complete my companion pass points, SP and UE. They were all pending. Today I got approved for the SP, but for the SW card 2 reps that I spoke to said that it's in some sort of process that they need to let run its course and can't expedite. The 2nd rep said he didn't want to approve my UE since what I really want is the SW and the UE would make 2 approved applications which would close out the SW application because of the 30 day rule. He suggested to wait and see what happens with the SW and then take it from there.

Any advice?

Success! So I applied for 3 cards on Sunday, all were pending. Called on Monday and got the SP approved when I offered to close my previous (downgraded) Sapphire. 4 reps in different phone calls told me that my SW card was going through some review process that they couldn't expedite. Finally the 5th rep told me he'd forward it to someone to work on and when I checked the next day (today) it was approved. I just called to get my UE approved, was given the shpiel about 2 cards in 30 days, offered to close my United (downgraded) card to open this and was approved!

Was denied for 2 apps ink plus and ink bold
Reason.. too many open cards. ..
Offered to close some but no succes

Reps are reading  notes of phone conversations
Tried everything discussed in thread
Hucad already 6 times within 30 days

Guess I should give up and lay low for a while???? :( :(

Don't think it makes a difference they forward it to the right department... Just to share what happened recently with me is that after huca a few times to open an ip and united bus for my wife(first business cards) I kept on getting shot down for the usual reasons. So I sent an sm and about a week later the fraud department called my wife and after verifying some info they said you'll get a response in a week and a few days later they approved the united. I have no clue why or how it works but it really does!

They definitely seem tougher... I called for SP and SW and a 40 min phone call to evaluate it happened which resulted in a recommendation for the SP. I will try to call later for the SW but that rep wasn't going to allow it. It certainly had to do with the fact that even though I didn't apply for new Chase cards since last December, they think they were giving me too much credit overall. I really had to sweet talk but I'm optimistic I'll get the SP approved on it's own merit. Hopefully then I'll be able to cut/cancel another card to get the SW approved.

I had a very strange thing happen with Chase. I applied for the Ink Plus and was approved. I received the cards in the mail today. I tried to activate them and the activation failed -- it told me the account was cancelled.

I talked to a business card services rep and he didn't know what happened. He connected me to someone else (I didn't get their department, I think lending specialist?) who told me they couldn't verify the company EIN.

They asked me to fax the IRS letter with the EIN. I've done so and now I wait.

The strange thing is that we're an established company with 7 figure revenues. Not sure what happened here, but maybe I mis-entered the EIN on the application (I did double check, but unfortunately Chase apps don't have a review screen)? Has anyone had this happen before?

Any ideas on how to make sure this gets resolved?

If you submitted the paperwork you should be fine. Just keep calling and make sure they are working on it.

Thanks Marco.

A denial is easier since I can either HUCA or stop caring.

With this, they're accusing me (sort of :) of fraud. So I have to keep going until they resolve it. Otherwise I/the company might end up in some blacklist or something.

Funny (obvs not for you) that a real company has trouble getting a card, but all the DDF Sole Proprietorships have no problem. ;)
