This worked for me last year on my Ink Plus app. I called and right away said, "I want to close my SW Business card and open the Ink Plus." Rep said please hold and came back and said approved.
Worth noting that this will not work for the IB.

Since there is no credit shifting, is there any leverage for anything by saying we are willing to close the IB?

It definitely does work on weekends, although I just experienced my first ever recon denial, after 20+ successful ones over the years.

Not only did she invoke the "more than 2 cards in 30 days" rule (which until now was mythical to me), she mentioned that she says that I've had 3 Uniteds in the last year and closed them all, so "why... in the world would you need another one now?".

Until now they never asked why you need another one of the same card you just closed ? I hear it all the time.

I was declined for both Inks and when I called to reconsider they told me I could close a personal account and use the CL for the Ink, whichever one I choose.

I applied for an INK CASH card and offered to close my existing INK PLUS card and move credit over but was still denied.
I was told this was because of the existing cards and the insufficient revenue on my business.
Anybody experience this ? any ideas of what to say when I HUCA ?

I believe that they see it as you requesting a new card for a business with little revenue which is a red flag for that in of itself. Once they decide that, shifting credit will not change their mind based on personal experience. Perhaps you can argue that you want the introductory 0% APR in order to expand your business, it's not a guarantee but at least you have a chance.

Thanks, I tried again but they still will not budge, was on the phone for 30 minutes each time answering all kinds of pesky questions just to get turned down at the end.
