#2: 888-643-9628

Call CS 1-888-338-2586 or 1-800-432-3117 and press # or 1. (If it's asking for your full 16 digits account number, it's 1. If it's asking for only your last 4 digits, it's #)
Press 3, then 1, then key in your SSN.

This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing of our decision, in approximately 2 weeks
It's pending.

This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision
It's been declined.

Business cards application status: call 800-453-9719.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

Whoa! That's a whole new level! Asking about specific purchases???
You actually understood that ? I thought it was the lyrics to a rap song.

I managed to figure it out easily. It is a little scary for those who thought the game was easy.

It is clear that these recon departments see (or can see) everything.
It makes you wonder why the have been overlooking those obvious GC sales for so long. Are they a) clueless or maybe b) they don't care?

It's what Barclays recon does.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

I HUCAd X 7 about my 3rd card from a 3BM, until I found a rep who was willing to close my Freedom to approve the 3rd card, he gave the standard, Congrats! You'll receive your card in 7-10 days.
Now, I log in to chase.com and I see that my Freedom is still open  :-\
Does it mean that I was never really approved?
I tried to check the status over the phone, I got the "2 weeks" massage (before I spoke with that 7th rep, I got the 7-10 days massage)
I try my best :-\

Not sure if it's the same one, but an Israeli woman approved me on my 4bm earlier in the year (then she wished me a Shabbat Shalom).
I spoke with her -- must be same woman -- a few weeks ago, when she approved me for a business account.  I told her todah rabah, and she said kol tuv.

Oh wow! This would make sense for Citi, not for Chase :-\ but yes, I hope this is the case by me and I hope I'll get the card.

I applied for the chase hyatt card ten minutes ago and got "decision pending". Is it wise to call the recon immediately or do i wait? what should i expect to be asked?
this is my first real credit card. i currently have a city forward for college students which I have had for about 1 year. never missed a payment and always paid within 3 hours of receiving the statement.

I called reconsideration and they said the application was denied because of my short credit history and low annual income (i am a student). She suggested I apply for a chase freedom because it has lower standards and can be used to build credit. Should I apply for it now or wait a few days?

IF that's what your going to do then do it today. There might not be a new pull if it's the same day.

Should I go for the barclaycard arrival (NOT the arrival plus) instead? seems more valuable to me than chase freedom... but i think it will definitely result in another pull.

reconsideration line said I was denied for hyatt. can calling back change that? i thought HUCA is best when its still pending...

Will try it. How much power do these agents have to reverse a denial?
