PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

You're right!  But do I want recon?  It's not declined, it's pending.
You want recon

Is this a reason not to do 2/3BMs on weekends?  Or any apps for that matter?
right. Biz recon is not even open Sunday.

I did a chase 3BM (UA BA CSP) as part of an app-o-rama.

UA was an instant approval.

I called recon and they gave me the 2/30 day rule and offered to look into 1 of them. After waiting on hold she declined me for the CSP because I opened 7 cards this year and they want to see history from my UA first. I offered to transfer from UA, she said she can approve me that way but can't do it until they get the account info from United (a few days).

Should I HUCA now or wait a few days?
I was originally told that they can't extend my CL but if I were to have more available credit I can transfer from an existing account to open a new one.
At the time, I didn't have any other available credit to transfer.

Since I cleared up my CL I called twice to recon (total of 4 times) and now they say that they can't extend CL or add a new account without extending CL. They keep saying that 7/8 of my cards were opened in the last year and they need to see more history.

Any advice?

You didn't call the recon number. 1-888-270-2127
OK.  I called this #, and you were right, they did give me the ref #'s, but they told me again that I need to speak to verification dept.

Wait a little bit and try again. Maybe try and come up with something for why you need the card. (try one at a time also)

I called the recon number.  they gave me the reference numbers for the apps.  They told me I still had to talk to verification.  I called verification which turns out to be the fraud verification dept.  I gave them the ref #'s, they asked a few questions to verify my ID, then they approved all three.

Just curious-when was your last application with Chase before the 3BM? My application for CSP was late May-I want to apply for the United and SW before they expire but dont want to do it too soon.

The United you can get pretty much at any time and the SW comes back every few months, so not too much pressure. Though you can technically apply now, it may be more work with the recon department on your end.

I hadn't applied for a Chase card in about 6 years.

When you recon via SM, which category do you put it in under? What do you put in for account number?

I am not really sure it makes a difference. Just put in all the relevant information and they will find it.

Last time I did it as "other" and they responded that they forwarded it to the credit reconsideration department and eventually they told me to call recon. Maybe I was missing info. What should I include?

I will wait and apply another time-hopefully the 50,000 points for both will return. Although someone wrote that for the benefit for  CP its best if you apply for the card in the beginning of the yr-can you someone explain the benefit for doing that. Thanks.

You get a CP for getting 110k SW points within a year. Your companion pass is valid for the rest of that year + the following year.
