But they still reconsider,  no?
Call and say hi my name is eli f, how are you doing today etc, when she/he says how can I help you you say I applied 2 weeks ago (or so) for the card & I can't see why they don't want to accept me I have good credit long history etc.
They really don't have when to cut you off
1. I believe it only reset's the 30 day clock when you get a new recon. Meaning you get another letter of denial. They told me that since I already got 2 denial letters, they see no reason to send another. So I don't think it resets the clock.

2. After I call and say as you suggested, they say: I'm doing fine, thank you. I see that you have made an unusual number of calls regarding this card, so if you don't mind, let me put you on hold for a couple of minutes so I could get myself up to date.

What can I say to that?

Huca.
I also had the same experience by my last card, I relaxed a few days (didn't call) and then I managed to reconsider another 2 times.

Thanks for sharing. I'll try that.

Even the most patient rep won't understand why I called 10 times abut the same card.
I guess I'll keep trying.

Wow, I can't believe it. I got rejected for an Ink card once again.
I've never written a higher income on a business app, and yet after my 10 minute shmooze with them, I got rejected for FOUR reasons: (I'm just in a bad mood so I'm going to vent and list them all even though I know no one here has anything to say other than HUCA - which I think most can agree is dead for Chase biz.)
1) Business is too new. Anything under 5 years is considered new. (I wrote 2 years and know plenty of people that have been approved under 5 years.)
2) Business income is too low. (Again, I've never written as high an income as I did today.)
3) 7 Chase cards in the last 12 months.
4) Opened Chase accounts too recently. (Besides for the fact that I've opened more than 7 Chase cards in the last 12 months, I haven't even applied for one in 5 months! That should be plenty of calm time for them to see that I'm ready for a new card.)

Maybe I'm just not meant for an Ink card. This was, I believe, my 5th attempt at getting an Ink card.

My sympathies.  I am in middle of my second attempt.

IMO none of these are hardcoded reasons, they just see that you're a gamer (because of reason 3 as well as your perfect payment history which, while good from a risk perspective, is bad from a revenue perspective) and are going to nitpick and find reasons not to give it you. The fact that you got 4 reasons is a function of being on the phone with them for 10 minutes. You will get 1 new reason every 2 and a half minutes :).

Yeah, but I know how biz recon works. The next call will just be "hey you just called and we already denied you". It wasn't like I discussed the card, got a rejection reason, continued to discuss, got another rejection reason, etc. I talked for 10 minutes about the business, and then she said "well here are 4 reasons why I can't give you the card."

Take 2. Fail.

Somehow I convinced her to respect the business, but then she said with 7 Chase cards open this year and 14 cards with other banks, she just can't approve me. Closing cards and transferring CL wouldn't do it , she said, because it's about how many I've opened recently.. $40K CL with Chase and $148K overall is too much and blah blah blah.

Sometimes I wish I had the courage to lie, like someone I know who said they have a business that brings in $250K/year and got their Ink. I wonder if that would have even done it, though, as it seems they really don't like my amount of cards. I wonder how many Chase cards Dan, AJK, Marco Polo, Super Speed, SuperFlyer, ilherman, Ergel and all the other masters (no offense to those I missed) have open currently under one SSN and how they just keep getting more and more.

Haha. Cuz they probably (rightfully) train their employees to check notes, and see if that someone called 3+ times to be extra critical. Trust your colleagues, etc.

+1 especially the ones beside Dan, who obviously legit owns a solid biz.

Yeah. HUCA 3 and 4 said.... c'mon guess!! Fine I'll tell you. "You called twice today, including 10 minutes ago and here are the 4 reasons you were rejected by the first rep and the 2 reasons you were rejected by the second rep." 4th HUCA actually told me an app can only be rejected 3 times and I was rejected originally by the computer and then after 2 reconsiderations. I made it very clear to him that I knew that to be a lie, but he had no interest in approving me.

How Many chase cards do you currently have open?

Pretty sure it was ilherman who once said he got approved on the 17th HUCA. Although, I'd bet a lot of money that was on a personal card, not a biz card.

This is my 7th time of HUCA in 3 months for the Ink Plus, and they still won't let up!  I applied when it could only be done in-branch.  Same thing: concerns over "too many opened accounts within a short time frame."  They see 8 cards on my CR (I have more than that  ;) ) and they said that they couldn't extend any more credit.  I tried everything.  I spoke to supervisors and senior reps and still nothing.  I said that I like to keep my expenses separate biz from biz, personal from biz, etc.  Ironic that I received targeted offer of 70k IP 3 weeks ago.  Should I try to apply by that targeted offer and trash that initial app?  What to do in this situation???

Woah, Lots of drama at recon.
Did a 3bm, Ink Plus Ink Cash and Business Marriott.

Third recon call got the Marriott open, no success for Ink.
After a few more calls got someone to close the Marriott transfer the $5000 and open the Ink Plus, Yay!

Tip, Best time to call is middle of the week, in the early afternoon.
If they sound friendly talk to them otherwise HUCA.

Following up,
Funny thing happened, I called CS and asked about reopening the Marriott, they put me through to a different department (Not recon) and after a soft-pull they reopened the Marriott with another $5000.

Now ill try again closer to the end of the 30 days and ask to move credit for Ink Cash.
 ;D
