PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

I DID IT!! The power of HUCA.
I called multiple times and had managers of managers call me back and finally one called and offered to move some credit from my BA which I'm anyway closing.
So I got 3 new chase cards this week

Wowza. Congrats

Chase 3BM for the wife:
1. Applied for Freedom, pending. Recon sent me to fraud, which asks for proof of ID, DOB and address.
2. Applied for IHG, instant approval, 5K.
3. Applied for Marriott, same as Freedom.

This is weird. Maybe it has to do with the IHG being MC and the others Visa.

I already faxed it in, but they claim it takes a few weeks to sort it out and I should stop calling.
Anyone knows what I'm looking at here? (Procedure wise and time wise)

(BTW: The reason it was flagged is probably because we started using my wife's married name. Even though, her current chase cards have already been updated and the EX report showed it too)

Is it just me, or do the reps at Chase recon seem tougher, more ill-disposed, and less helpful than in the past?

Did a 4BM today BA (Approved), SP (Approved) and Marriott/UE (Rejected x2). Their rationale is that I cannot open up more than (2) cards in (30) days and that can't be revised, even by dropping my CLs. I had great rationale for why I put in the apps I did. Noticed some of you said to be "creative" - can you please share what's worked for you?

Tried a 2/BM for the Ritz Carlton and Fairmont. Ritz was instantly approved. Fairmont was denied because they claimed I had too many new accounts and too many inquiries in the last 12 months. Its 5 new cards from an AOR in May, 3 Chase, 2 Barclays. Interestingly enough they didn't mention my 3 new Amex cards in September.
Anyone been able to get around that reason for denial recently?

HUCA.
I tried twice with no positive results, the 2nd person mentioned that it was the 2nd review of the application. Anything I can claim in defense of my number of inquiries and new accounts? I already tried that they are to track different types of spending and that they were specific merits of each card (2x points on travel & dinning & 7% div on SP, 3x at Hyatt on the Hyatt card).
Any fresh ideas?

I just got approved for BA card 15 months after I opened my last one. I only noticed the 24 month rule after I was already approved. Is there any chance I might get the opening bonus or should I not bother doing the spend threshold?

Wow, nice. Looks like 18 "notes" was too much for the rep to read through.

If at first you don't succeed, try eight more times, and then...profit. Thanks for the guidance guys. HUCA on United worked. Unfortunately required a new pull, but it worked.

Congrats!
How long between the app and approval? Why did they want a new pull?

About twelve hours. He said every app requires a pull and that to reconsider it would be impossible to approve me through any other means, like using yesterday's inquiry.

That happened to me once also. Just wait a few days til the BA is fully open and then you'll be able to move some credit over.. They can't move credit until the card is open and airline cards take a few days to open. The rep actually called me back a few days later to tell me that the BA card is open and he can now move credit over.
