The Verfications rep asked me to confirm that I applied for the BA card, asked me to recite the credit limit and payment due date on one of my existing Chase accounts, and approved me. Total call was 5 minutes, including 3 minutes for her to pull up my account.

After getting approved by the Recon Rep for the BA card, am I supposed to receive any emails or updates. He told me he did it but how do I know it went through. I supposedly closed out my Freedom card, should I not use it anymore, the chase phone app still only has my freedom and not the BA card.

I was approved yesterday for the Southwest card, and I got a confirmation email this evening, a bit less than 24 hours later.

I was approved today for the BA card, so I expect that I'll see a confirmation email some time tomorrow.

Really? There are reps that will give you a full refund till 180 days?

Airline cards could take very long to show up online especaily BA mine took 2 weeks until it showed online ane 3 weeks until i got it so dont hold your breath

I think the rep mentioned something about 2 weeks.
Being that I gave up my freedom CL for this BA card should I not use it until I get my BA? What should I do with the freedom card now?

Ya he said the only way to get the BA would be to transfer my entire CL. But online it still says I have it. When would that change? Or when should I stop using it?

Yes true. though a lot of reps won't do it & it has to be done manually, therefore (some) ddfers/churners don't like it because it gives the rep a reason to look into your account which can't be too good.

I would say stop using but it should reflect online any day now, that the account is closed and you'll get a letter in the mail. "Action we took...."

Just transferred my CL from freedom to open a BA, therefore closing my freedom account. I had over 6,000 points this month from the freedom but after speaking with a rep she said that the points were forfeited bc I closed the account and can't even redeem them let alone transfer to my new sapphire or BA account. Is that possible? That can't be fair. What should I do

Did you have any other UR accounts before closing the Freedom? If not, the points i believe are legitimately forfeited as there is no place for them to go. You can try and see if they will reinstate the account and maybe transfer or use them right away.

I had the sapphire account open b4 the close of the freedom. Will that be enough to get them to transfer them to the sapphire?
