PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

hard time with chase reconsideration line. AAed 15 months ago. Two months ago got United with 30k limit and meet the spending requirement to get the bonus. Yesterday I applied hyatt and ink plus, both pending. Call personal reconsideration, get approved with 30k again. Call business twice, both turn me down. And second know the first decision. The reason is too many credit cards. 17 total, 10 in last year. Today call again and spending 15 minutes grilling time, still not working with the same reason. Should I continue?

ppl have said just say you are her name
theyll (probably) know you are a guy but apparently they dont check gender
i have called my wife, conferenced her in, fed her the answers in front of them, and then she hangs up and i take over
they ask what other ccs do you have and i tell her what to answer, she answers, and they say good. kind of funny actually

Your spouse can say that she authorizes you to continue on her behalf. Then its all you.

Hey, that's a nice legal/ethical/fun way to do it.

We sometimes call recon or CS on date night.  It's one of the few times during business hours that we are together without other things vying for our attention...

one for you and one for your wife

one for groceries and one for gas

one for trips and hotels and one for daily living
Tried this actually and recon rep said they'd have to close the 1st one (Premier) if we wanted to go ahead with the "upgraded" one (Select). He seemed to realize that I wanted the benefits of both and didn't allow it. I said no thx. Any other recommendations for next HUCA?

The SW Premier was the 3rd on her account, this would be the 4th. Why you ask? There's a limit?

I meant third app on same day or within 30? They seem to be cracking down on the 2 in 30 rule.

Oh, no, I did a 2bm for these cards about 3 weeks ago. Got the Chase United card back in October for her.

Applied for the Chase United Explorer Business, got rejected due to not enought business credit history (first business card opened in October), and too many recent credit requests (7 new CCs in the past 12 months). I HUCAed 3 times already, no luck. Any use continuing?

I called the 1st recon line this time (1st one in wiki). Is it normal for them to say "give us up to 2 weeks to give you an answer?" The rep was definitely new and threw in that I could call back in 24-48 hours to possibly get an answer, she said they "like to under promise and over deliver." This is the 1st time I did not receive a yes or no when calling recon that's why I'm asking here if it's normal response... or what it means exactly.

Hope this is the right place for this...

Applied for two cards Jan. 21 got approved. 3rd card was declined. FINALLY successful HUCA today. So the question is: Is the date of opening backdated to the original date of the app submit date, OR to today when they approved and opened?
