On hold now for the Ink which I applied for in-branch.  Wow, a lot of questions!
Make sure they match what you wrote on the app.

Doesn't mean you wont get it and should give up. Wait a week or so and try calling again.

Was declined due to too many new cards opened in last 12 months. Huca'd several times and they keep asking why I need so many new cards. Does anyone have an answer that's worked? I explain that I use each one for a different purpose (airline, hotels, general spend etc.) but doesn't seem to be working.

There is no magical answer. How many new cards in the last 12 months ? All chase ?

At some point , you just have to let it go!  I have been denied 2 cards in my 4 years and I dont know how many Chase cards , but got them on later appos .

16 is over the Top IMO. My max was prolly 7

Let the recon calls extend your time. Sometimes a month or two is all you need.

I'm in the same boat with Chase, the difficult approval stage.

I applied for Ritz card in January and got approved in March.

I didn't call every day, wait two weeks in between calls and see what happens.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.
