This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision
It's been declined.

Business cards application status: call 800-453-9719.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

Ive called 16 times to get 1 application approved at one point. No success = end result
How recently? Did they parrot back to you the same lines and refer back to your previous calls?

Just got shot down harshly for second HUCA in two days...when I persisted, CS mentioned that the notes indicated the earlier call and how CS had already given me same reason for rejection....not sure this one is going to go thru :(
That's what everyone is told. Take a break & try again in a week or 2.

I have an excellent HUCA story with citi. About a month of HUCA before I inexplicably got what I wanted. I had already spoken to like 16 supervisors in different depts.

Did 2 citi execs last year.
I don't open my bills; I just have everything on autopay. No time.
Saw email that was billed the AF on card 1. Called a week later when had time and cancelled. Told dude was cancelling to avoid fee.  He offered 200 statement credit to stay. I cancelled.
A month later get call from collections dept that I owe fee. I said I cancelled. They said it was too late--have 30 days from when billed. I said well so prorate. They said they don't prorate. I said well I'm not paying, so let's figure it out. They said so we'll send collections etc. I said I'll settle with them, so why not settle now, they said too bad.
I spoke with a bazillion people from cust service and collections over next few weeks. Same conversation. Tried being nice. Tried being tough. Tried being confused. Tried being expert. Got to point that notes said to auto-transfer me to supervisor if I called.
I ordered copy of cardmember agreement. Says have 30 days from later of when bill is mailed or delivered. Idiots--no lawyer would write such a stupid term like that.
I called and sweetly explained, but no dice. Lady says they presume delivered after 7 days. I ask if they know. She says presume. I ask if they are billing me on presumtion and sending to collections on presumption. She says yes.
Ok, I assume I'll let go to collections, and dispute on credit report. I'm actually in the right at this point. And will try mailing letter to cust services.
One more try: I call to cancel Card 2, and tell cancellations that reason is because they are being mean to me on Card 1. She says, can't do anything because I cancelled too late, and used card after was billed.

Wait? What? Used card after?  I didn't use card after. You didn't? Ok, I'll waive fee.  Goodbye. Done. Fee waived within 2 days.

I'm a lawyer. It takes a bit of troll to get on the phone with opposing counsel and ask for a totallly offmarket provision that you win on one in a hundred times, especially when you have no leverage.
