PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

Ok, this is a little embarrassing. I realized that instead of doing a 3bm, I did a 3 Tab method! As they say, haste makes waste.
I reapplied for the other 2 (different browsers this time :) ) and both are pending. I'll have to call in the morning.
Thanks for all the help.

Keep posted. Good luck on the sapphire
Update: called and got the United approved but no luck on the sapphire (called twice). They said it was due to too many accounts in the past 2 years, and there is nothing to do to when that's the reason for decline.
Is sapphire generally harder to get approved for?

Not harder, but from reading through various threads it seems that when people do a 2/3bm & CSP is one of them, that's always the last one to get approved.

You mean you applied for a credit card without any real reason as to why you want/need it?

Come up with a good reason for why your expenses need to be on different cards.

Chase Reconsideration
« Reply #8051 on: June 02, 2015, 09:32:36 AM »
There was a theory floating around a few days ago, that when applying for multiple cards from chase, first apply for 2 random cards, and later in the day apply for the ritz card.
Reason being that ritz is a j.p. Morgan card, so there is a better chance of getting instant approval, even after getting approved for 2 cards ( recon can be tough in approving more then 2 cards in 3 days ).
Myself, and a few family members, did not have recent luck in doing a 3bm w/o the ritz card - due to, no more then 2 cards in 30 days. Yesterday my wife applied for IHG, and BA as a 2bm and both got instantly approved. Later in the day she applied for the ritz card, and it was pending, this morning got approved w/o recon. Just wanted to share my experience, take it for what it is.

Did a not exactly 3 BM @ Chase . Biz and Personal plus one Citi .

Ritz card approved after recon . UA biz approved after second recon .  UA personal denied yesterday and today as too many Chase cards in last 12 months .

Citi HH reserve pending will wait another day .

Will give it a days rest or two , and HUCA again then .

Is there any point in going in to my chase banker (no major relationship) or better just wait to try recon again?

Any advice how to get around the fact that when I call in Rep immediately comments that they see which dates i have already called in for recon? This is my 3rd strike this time around, think I'm out?

I will try the late hours idea...Main issue is they right away throw at me the # of credit inquiries and the # of CC's opened over the past year. Those two combined seem to be a major showstopper for them

Had chase tell me they approved the UMPE biz and then "upper managment" put the kibosh on the app. I have one CSP and relatively new (7 month) history with chase. Should i even bother. I called the minute the app was in. Spent half an hour on the phone with them then and it got denied anyway. I'm officially done with them. Exasperated.
