PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

Have been out of the game for a while. Just did a stupid Hyatt/UMPE 2bm, got pending and declined on HUCA for both, by a male rep no less, for too much open/close activity. Heard about the Chase culture shift but still didn't expect this, quite shocked. I felt like my last 12 months of chase activity (below) was child's play.. these were my first personal apps of 2015.

YYMM Action   Card
1410   opened   ink plus
1410   declined   ua biz
1411   closed   chase sp
1412   Opened   chase sp
1412   Opened   UMPE
1412   declined   SW Premier
1412   Closed   BA
1412   Closed   ink plus
1501   Closed   UMPE
1503   Opened   ink plus
1505   Closed   ink plus
1507   Closed   ink bold

Well they did shut down one of your ink cards. That could have left a bad remark on your account.
After much aggravation dealing with the Chase Executive Office, I have finally gotten down to the bottom of this as to why I am getting denied for new accounts with Chase even though I have a spanking good credit history and many cards with chase.

Because they shut down my ink card in January 2015 for (misuse of rewards, btw I never misused the rewards program which is besides the point) they won't approve me for any new accounts, (even though I have 50k Credit line amongst all my cards with them).

Has anyone had such an experience in the past like this that can share some insight how to go about this?

How long is this ban for? forever?

If its not forever, how long do I have to wait until I am safe to reapply and have a good chance for approval?

They could be tough on all cards (usually 2nd & on) but especially on the biz cards.

Tried applying for a CSP, and getting the schpiel about too many cards in the last year.
Last app was a 2BM in november, and have total 5 cards.
Didn't want to move credit lines, or close other cards or anything.
Any chance of getting a different answer on a HUCA?

Lol. I've had reps ask me "is this a gentleman or a woman?"
"I'm transitioning"
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I am denied chase card for "Too many chase cards application in last 24 months". I have only 3 application in last 6 months. 1 of them is in last 30 days. however I have been as "AU" on more than 20 cards in last 24 months. in addition of my about 10 applications in last 24 months as applicant for Chase. After several reconsideration calls- all mentioned that this reason, they cant do anything. also rep mentioned, when you are an AU, it still goes on your file and is counted against you.

Any experience of this kind? Any way to convince them? How long do you suggest, I stay out of Chase as applicant of AU, to be again considered for a card?

Experiences shared around this subject is appreciated.

YMMV greatly. Chase has been very tough about this lately. Advice - don't add yourself as au with ssn onto any more cards for now
