Whatwver works better for you. Some wait it out & get approved, others declined. In the past did you get approved when waiting ?
In the past, I called, and ran into trouble...
I'm also concerned about calling, as I am a zochor and the applicant is a nekaivah, and I think they may pick up on that...

She could call & say that you'll take over. Most people don't have an issue with that.

The reps don't usually make an issue with male vs female voice.

Ok, thanks. I'm still leaning toward not calling. Hoping other experienced DDFrs will weigh in with their experience. BTW, is there a web site to check approval status (like Amex has)?

If it's says 7-10 business days you should definitely call in today, time won't heel it.

I applied for Chase BA card, and it is pending. The question: to call or not to call? In the past they've been difficult over the phone, so I'd rather let it take its course. What do you think?

BA card is managed for security . IIRC they always took everyone more time , like that security
at LHR . IME it took  the longest of the 25 + Chase cards I have had !
But still call in if you can .

I called, and it was declined "due to a previous unsatisfactory relationship with the bank". Huh? Worth a HUCA? I doubt it.

If I ask chase to pull my credit again to check my updated cr (which has no aus listed!) will it come up as same ID number on cr? Ie - will I be able to subsequently dispute the pull with cb?

Do you know what the issue was?
A few months ago the applicant got 2 cards from them, and suddenly on the first day, they cancelled them, due to insufficient credit history. Really strange story. I was hoping that by now it would be ok...

That is odd. Maybe wait a few more months before applying.

I don't think so. Not if it was legitimately applied for.

I applied recently for a Chase Sapphire as part of a AOR (this was the only Chase card). I got declined because of 'Too many credit cards opened in the last 2 years'

I called recon and requested they shuffle around some limits but she said that this type of decline is not able to be reconsidered. This was a new directive from Risk Management within the last 60 days. I asked what constitutes 'Too many' and she said anything more than 5 and according to her I had 6. I actually had way more then that so I'm not sure exactly where this number is from.

Anyone else had this? Any way around it?

WOW! Chase just gave me the middle finger when I applied for a targeted 50K ual card. Ouch! Reason - too many open cards and opening cards. Yes, I have gotten 26 or 30 cards in the past 24 months. Many citi, amex, cap1, and god knows what else. I have been a bonus hog and chase is slaughtering me now.

has anyone else been denied for partner cards from chase? I asked for a second opinion after I called the recon line the first time, and both agents said no - too many cards. Any way to fix this - I hate losing HP.
