Just a data point on the 5/24 rule: My Wife applied for IP last week, was pending a few days, approved yesterday. (Marriott biz still pending)

She opened about 10 cards in the last 24 months.
It seems like we have a few data points here plus on FT, that ink is a YMMV with the 5/24 rule.

To improve her chances, she opened a biz checking account and deposited a few thousand $, and was pre approved automatically.
I wonder though if the pre approval makes any difference once it's not instant.

Chase giving me tough time getting approved for ink plus, too many cards in last 24 months. (Did get approved for BA though). I HUCA 3x, already. Any point in trying again?

Yes . Will be tough but just have to get lucky, and prepare your case for approval point by point .

Put together a list of reason why you should be getting approved for the card.

I believe he was referring to the pre-approval part.

Sorry I was referring to actually getting
approved . FYI not a big believer in
pre approvals , cause IME they meant nothing.

Yes, but it depends on where Chase pulls from in your state.

They are telling me (called 2 times) that it's under review, can take up to 30 days,
And there is nothing they can discuss with Me,
Should I keep calling, or wait (let's say a week)
What's your plan for yud shvat?

I'd say let it play out

They don't usually budge these days. You may get lucky but it will probably be a waste of time to keep calling.

I applied for both the Ink and Cash cards simultaneously. I got approved for the Cash but denied for the Plus card. I've HUCA'd twice already - both times they told me I was rejected for too many applications/cards (forgot timeframe). What's the best way to fight that for biz cards? I mentioned that I'd be closing one personal card soon and taking my name off as AU on 2 other cards. He said that due to revenue posted on application I couldn't be approved either way for the Ink Plus. How should I handle, what case could I possibly make for the "too many cards..." reason for denial? TIA.

Saying you will clpse some cards does not help. They will just tell you to close them and reapply

Understood, he said closing a personal card wouldn't make a difference. Do you have any recommendations/suggestions? Some on this thread say to keeping HUCA-ing and others say not to waste your time...I'm leaning towards a few more HUCA's before calling it quits, so I am reaching out to see if anyone had success using some arguments over others. I asked about changing revenue amount (due to expected business growth) on the application but he said I couldn't - that I'd need to reapply.
