Does business count for that? I just got 1 biz and two consumer within a week no problem
Yes, but I didn't mean has anyone had success getting more than 2 cards in 30 days. There are plenty of data points for that. I meant that once a rep tells you you can only have 2 within 30 days, every rep after that tells you the same thing. Was wondering if anyone has faced that "recon issue" and gotten past it.

Does Chase recon ask questions about your income like Barclays does?

Aha so do you know how they take it if most of your income is household income, and if you're under 21?

Not sure. Which card are you trying for ? (Rep told me she'll approve my application but I must send in my tax info. It's still on my to-do list ;) )

I plan on applying for the BA and perhaps also the UE. I'm just debating how much income to put on the app because the more income I put, the more explaining I might need to do and I don't plan on lying.

Good luck with getting your card btw, I wonder if chase is like Amex in this situation and even a little reported income is enough.

I've had the Freedom with a $3,000 limit for 3.5 months. I would assume with my good credit that I could get instantly approved for one more card with them like the BA card. For more than one though I'll probably have to go through recon.

You have nothing to lose by applying for 2. You could get both instantly approved or they might not ask any income questions. Report back how it goes (I thought higher income is a bigger chance of approval but CMIIW)

Thanks I will. Also I agree with you that it's a better chance of approval, it's just that if you have to answer income questions to recon, then more can be harder to explain.

Interesting recon: I got two business cards approved in one call, I do have a tax ID number Etc. (its a real business).
One of the last things before approval was running it through some homeland security data base, the rep on the phone said it
is something they always do  based on the patriot act. Anyone ever hear about such a thing  before?
