Interesting recon: I got two business cards approved in one call, I do have a tax ID number Etc. (its a real business).
One of the last things before approval was running it through some homeland security data base, the rep on the phone said it
is something they always do  based on the patriot act. Anyone ever hear about such a thing  before?
Yes. It is called a Patriot Search.

Have lots of Ink Bold and Plus cards.  Annual fees are coming up on some of them.  What's the best way to handle this?  (I'll keep one or two Plus/Bold open.)  Do I downgrade the others to Ink Cash?  If I do, are the UR points like Freedom, which can be combined with Bold/Plus/Sapphire Preferred to transfer to partners?  Or is there a smarter way to handle the Ink Bold/Plus cards that I don't need or use and don't want to pay annual fees for?  Thanks in advance for your advice/feedback!
If you're in the financing or e-commerce business, and need capital to grow, we should talk...

Keep all of them and spend $50,000 a year on each of them at staples.

If you can't do that though and you downgrade, ink cash points are just like Freedom.

Yes, but I didn't mean has anyone had success getting more than 2 cards in 30 days. There are plenty of data points for that. I meant that once a rep tells you you can only have 2 within 30 days, every rep after that tells you the same thing. Was wondering if anyone has faced that "recon issue" and gotten past it.

I can confirm recent data point of 3rd personal on day 31 not sure if that helps you. I heard this allows you to get a new card from Chase perspective, and is still 1 pull from a bureau perspective. YMMV obviously.

Yes Yes. Alot of people (including myself) have had success getting apps approved (especially Ink apps) by just letting them play themselves out for a week and not calling recon and having them quiz you for 30 minutes.
Just to say my experience. I applied for the Ink card last week and I decided to wait to see what would happen with the app (screwed up the 1st app i did many months ago) when I called this morning I was told that they had approved me. Not sure I would have gotten the same response had I called right away and dealt with a rep.

Same here... Not exactly day 31, but I called close to day 30 and got official recon rejection and a few days after 30 called and got approved...

Chase doesn't look at the au so to them you only have 5 month. If I where u I would try huca for the freedom and skip the other 2.

Its been getting tougher for awhile already. You can't get any approvals or just the 3rd one ?

Amex SPG is much easier to get approved for than Chase. Applying for SPG AND Blue Cash may result in a 5 day hold because they are both Credit Cards (as supposed to charge cards)
