To fax in verification documents:
#1: 888-643-9624
#2: 888-643-9628
#3: 201-328-3289 (according to a rep from this dept, it's quicker than the other listed numbers)

Chase CS #: 1-800-432-3117

To know whether your application is pending or declined:
Call CS 1-888-338-2586 or 1-800-432-3117 and press # or 1. (If it's asking for your full 16 digits account number, it's 1. If it's asking for only your last 4 digits, it's #)
Press 3, then 1, then key in your SSN.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing of our decision, in approximately 2 weeks
It's pending.

This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision
It's been declined.

Business cards application status: call 800-453-9719.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

Applied 3BM, two declined (7-10 business days), 1 pending (2 weeks).

Whats the best defense for reopening same type of card I closed 3 weeks ago?

For which card? For CSP I said that it was a stupid mistake, now I can;t use my points to transfer out for my honeymoon, blah blah... gotta get creative.

Just say you didn't want to pay the AF, but now you can't live without it. No forex, insurance, etc.

Weird- called in and they said the applications were all still pending- no reference numbers available. Guess they haven't been reviewed yet...but why 7-10 days on two of them? Unless rep was clueless...?

They should be able to look up via SSN--I'd HUCA

Just got approved for the freedom card with a 7k CL but the SP they wouldn't approve me for they claim it didn't show up on their system to transfer the credit line to open the SP. Any advice?

HUCA? You need to transfer a certain amount to open the SP (5K I think?) and will also need to leave some on the Freedom- but not totally sure on this.

Seems like recon just gets harder every time I call. Even getting the reference numbers themselves took me 3 calls   :P

First call was connected to fraud department, seemed very confused why I was calling but eventually appoved me for 15k on the sapphire. Great.

Second call. UMPE, can't open, too many recent account - I opened a business account a year ago and "multiple other accounts recently" (last AOR was in July), and wouldn't shift credit from sapphire because I only had the card for a few minutes. "The problem here isn't the amount of credit, it's all the recent opening". Talked herself into a corner to close my business United card instead and transfer 12k limit to the new united. I took the offer, but don't know if it was the best thing to sacrifice my entire Chase business CL  :-\

Now for Hyatt...any reason not to call right now and call tomorrow instead? (as in they see I just called twice in the last hour)

So you got the CSP and UMPE open--the 3rd card will take work, but it isn't impossible.

Many people who have reported success with a 3rd card (myself included) wait until day 30 from the original application date and have had success w/ chase moving CL over from a diff card, without pulling credit again.

Yeah 2/3 ain't bad, but this is DDF-gotta go for bust!
If they still refuse the Hyatt then I can always try the 30 day route, good point. Guess we'll see how annoyed they get at me on the next call  ;D

Yarg...
So next call rep was more than willing to transfer CL, but when offered to transfer from united card since it was just opened he couldn't do it. Then I offered to transfer from sapphire but also new so couldn't do it. Then got quoted the 30 day rule :/

In theory I could have closed freedom but would lose my UR points if the sapphire wasn't active yet. But if I wait for SP or UMPE to become active much more likely I'll get 30 day rule responses. Yuck.

Guess best course of action is to wait until tomorrow when SP and UMPE are open and get someone who's willing to transfer CL despite 3 in 30 rule?

You can move your UR from your freedom over to your new SP now already.

What's the best defense for a lack of credit history? Only have two years with one credit card?
