I applied for 3 Chase cards on March 1st and 2 got approved. The 3rd was given the "only 2 cards in 30 days" routine.
I waited till today, 30 days later, and the app is still in the system (I guess that's a decent data point), but now they're saying the classic "too many new cards, too much credit line". However, they also won't shift CL or close accounts because "I don't qualify for that option". They're making it seem like they need to see a physical button on their end to shift CL. Is that true?
Did you try... http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=266.msg1105729#msg1105729

Got Chase Freedom 6 months ago, $500 credit line.

Applied for BA, got 5k credit line
Applied for Hyatt, pending

What are my chances for Hyatt to be approved?
(Called once, no go. Planning to HUCA)

All of my cards have been spent on before and paid off.
Did the new ones close with a medium/high balance and then get paid down to 0? (Remember to CA when the balance is at 0)

Power of persistence and HUCA.
I have charged off 3+ accounts with Chase in 2009
Since October of 2014, I have tried on many occasions to apply for cards -
British Airways, Sapphire, Freedom, to name a few.
After about 8 applications, I finally got a Freedom approval after 1 HUCA - albeit only a $500 CL - I will take what I can get for now.
Now it's time to grease the Citi wheels..

Yes, you can get multiple Chase cards in one go that will be rolled up into 1 pull at EOD.

Just applied for 3 chase cards. 2 got approved instantly, the third they're telling me it can't be approved because their policy is no more than 2 cards per 30 days.  :o I never got this before, but a few reps told me this. I even offered to shut down an old card, but they're not letting. I HUCA'D a few times with no success... Any ideas?

Try explaining to them why you're interested in all three cards and be as convincing as possible. Once I did that, they were more than willing to approve.

Worst case wait it out 30 days or offer to close one of the cards you just opened (if applicable)

Apps stay fpr 30 days. Wait a couple weeks and call back with a good reason you want/need the card.

everytime you call for reconsideration it stays open for an extra 30 days. so call in 2 weeks and then try a month later.
make sure balances are low on your existing cards
