PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

meaning to say if you have a 5k business credit line you won't be able to transfer credit to open another business card?
You can likely transfer all the credit to get the next one open.

Do you have a direct way of contacting him, or does one need to get lucky?

Does it make sense that Chase's system would not let me have my 2nd business card reconsidered even though the agent was willing to do it if I closed out a consumer card. She went through like 15 questions with me about the business then asked if Id be willing to close out a consumer card, I said yes, she took another couple minutes, then said the system still rejected it since I've had too many recent applications with Chase. I've only had 2 consumer and 1 business card in the last year+.

Unless the system has changed  in last 2 months , THEY are the system. Don't mention past conversations .

So just have them send u a new denial letter which will give you another 30 days and let it for 2/3 weeks then try again.

Tried applying for Hyatt card and was told I cant be approved bc I've already received 7 chase cards in calendar yr (3 are business) so they don't want to offer me any more lined of credit or new cards bc of # of inquiries. I HUCA'd 3 times and kept getting same response and even when I tried explaining the benefits of why I use each card it didn't seem to help. They said since those cards and my Amex are fairly new and have high lines of credit they wont reconsider.
I volunteered to transfer lines of credit but still nada. Any advice as to how to get approved?

IME, you've hit the brick wall. Sometimes it happens and other times it doesn't. They say if you call back 15 more times, you might just find a rep that doesn't care. I believe the new advice going around is to close cards and lower CL on all cards before applying so that you can hope for instant approvals instead of having to deal with recon.

Do you need to have all 7 cards open? Maybe close a few.
