Why will Experian believe me that it's duplicate?
I've successfully combined pulls with them, as have many others. Haven't heard any negative reports.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Spoke to recon rep and manager, they said they see that accounts are only AU's, but doesn't matter, AU accounts count too,  they also said when app is denied for 5/24 it's totally dead, no way to revive.   Only way to have chance would be to remove my AU status from other accounts, wait until it updated in CR, and submit new application :(

So do that, and then request pulls to be combined as duplicate because they pulled twice for the same card.

Removing AU is instantaneous? CB would update right away?

Have to check again now with my new BA account from the 2bm with CSP, I might have hit 5, so for new app will be over the top even without AU :(

If you're lucky, they won't count that since it's not on credit report yet. If you're not, as you probably won't be, it should only be one pull anyways. Worse comes to worst, 100k Avios ain't too shabby either, although not as good as it used to be.

Are you implying that I'm a shlimazel?

No, I'm implying that chase is being pretty strict, and don't bet on getting lucky.

That makes me feel better;) Anyway if it's a chase card they see even without CR, hence ink is counted, rep already told me "oh I see you just opened a BA.."

What's the process for removing the AUs from your credit report? Do I just call Experian? While I'm not under 5 even without AUs, I may be in about 6-7 months. Might as well prepare.

I do have access to Experian's credit monitoring since I'm a T-Mobile customer and they Experian got their T-Mo data hacked. I haven't signed up for that yet but maybe that's the easiest way to get this handled.

Also, it doesn't matter if the 5+ cards are closed, right? Just the act of getting approved for them in the last 24 months is an issue, right?

Experian will not remove AU, it's supposed to be there, you have to actually cancel your AU with credit card, after u cancel you can call EX to remove if still on

I just had this exact issue (see page 591/592). After HUCA about 10 times I was approved on same application despite being AU on too many cards within the last 2 years.
