I have a United Biz app that's saying 2 weeks for 20 days already.
Should I call recon?
Why not?

Applied for 4 cards today - Chase United Explorer at 55K, Chase Southwest at 50K, Citi American Gold (Have every other one), and Barclay Arrival Plus.

Citi and Barclay were automatic approvals, got United approved via recon. Just got shot down for Southwest for having so many cards in last 12 months and opening/closing too many.

How often do you guys usually call back after being shot down? Anything to say to them when they see the previous notes? Hate dealing with Chase.

Does it make any sense to apply for a third personal card and just not call in and see if it gets approved somehow even though the 2nd one was not approved?

Opened new FF and it came in the mail with a link. Have gotten bonus within last 24 months too, just closed old card maybe 3 months ago.

Ended up signing up for a BOA Alaska $100 + 25K card too and instantly approved as well.

Called Chase recon for 2nd time this morning about Southwest card, no go, he looked at it for 30 seconds and said no.

Will try again tomorrow I guess.

No need to wait so long. It's not like you are likely to have the same rep pick up your call again.

3rd time, same answer, though this one took 20 minutes before telling me. The 2nd one took 30 seconds.

I applied for the chase sapphire and was denied because i had too many cards.
I only have 2 chase cards and do not have many other cards.
I called and was told that I have 16 cards, most are authorized users.
I tried a few times and they wont budge. Should I close all the amex au's? I dont want to lose the amex benefits that might show up this year (like the amex checkout).
That what happened to my wife as well. She applied for CSP and was denied because of multiple cards. She has only 3 cards in the last 2 years and I added her to my 2 Amex cards. It's not clear whether here AU cards will show up on the credit report.

Well they did and that's why she was denied for the CSP

Betah they did. The question is not how to get rid of them. I mean if she cancels her AU cards they will still appear on the report. Am I right? Adding her as AU to my cards was extremely stupid.

After removing her as AU, she can dispute the account and it'll be removed

I don't think you even have to cancel the AU cards.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

You definitely do not have to cancel/remove an au in order to successfully dispute them with the CB.

Weird. They finally approved my application (after being told the last 2 weeks that it has to be reviewed by a special department and it can't be expedited since they work on a 1st come 1st serve basis ::) I HUCAed at least 20 times) but when I called in to get the card shipped express they said it's still under verification so I'll have to wait 7-10 days :o

DROPR?
I like vanilla but my name is Venilla.

Sorry for a stupid question, but I can dispute it? I mean what is the process? Should I call the agency?

Call up the CRA you want it removed from (in this case EX) and tell them that being as you're only an AU and have no responsibility for the account, you don't want it showing on your credit report. They should have no problem removing it. The numbers for the CRAs are in the wiki of the credit score thread.
