Chase Fraud # 2: 1-800-278-8830
(If you have a fraud alert on your account, recon will instantly transfer you here for verification, so you might as well call directly)

To fax in verification documents:
#1: 888-643-9624
#2: 888-643-9628
#3: 201-328-3289 (according to a rep from this dept, it's quicker than the other listed numbers)

Chase CS #: 1-800-432-3117

To know whether your application is pending or declined:
Call CS 1-888-338-2586 or 1-800-432-3117 and press # or 1. (If it's asking for your full 16 digits account number, it's 1. If it's asking for only your last 4 digits, it's #)
Press 3, then 1, then key in your SSN.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing of our decision, in approximately 2 weeks
It's pending.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision
It's been declined.

Business cards application status: call 800-453-9719.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

That was brutal, but also typical. We all take our lumps. Take a deep breath and HUCA again.

She no doubt took notes but that doesn't mean your next rep will read them and care.

That one for sure has 5/24 so maybe not, since it will be an extra pull.

Just called back and she reviewed it briefly. She said it was declined a few hours ago for this reason. And can't change. Guess I should wait a few days?

I just applied for the Ihg card and got the 2 week message when calling. Normally I'd wait but want to get in another app today. Does 2 week message mean I can call I and its just verification?

Just wanted to share my experience: Applied for 3 cc's: Ink Plus, Freedom, and Sapphire, (i did other cards under my husband..)
Ink was approved after a quick phone call right after the application was submitted.
Sapphire needed verification docs submitted.
Freedom was rejected for too many cards/credit pulls same day.
I sent in verification for my sapphire and they told me once this goes through i can discuss recon on my freedom.
Finally sp was approved, so i called recon yesterday, a guy picks up and i knew from the start he's going to give me a hard time, so when he put me on hold, i hung up the phone, and lucky for me, he calls back! And of course there was no arguing with him "Unfortunately too many cards, there is no option to review your card now!" so i call again, a guy with a similar voice, i hang up! I call again, another guy with a bit of a different voice, but once i start speaking to him, he kinda' sounds like the same guy, and he didn't wanna re-evaluate my case! I call again, a lady picks up, she's nice, and listens to my story, asks me a couple of questions to review my application, and tells me i will get a decision within 7-10 days. I call today Chase Status automated service and I'm approved! Never knew that Chase are so complicated to deal with... and i only applied for 3 cards, how do you guys do this with so many chase apps? You really gotta have the time and patience to deal with this... Phew! I'm done with it! :)

Chase has been tough to deal with for quite some time now.

If you call from a different phone, you have a better chance of a new personality.

Applied for two chase cards. One auto approved. Applied for second after that and went pending. Called and the rep said no records of it (received a pending email but no reference number). Called auto number and says only one in the system. Apply again before end of day to merge, or wait and see if it "shows up"?

Personal experience. Don't know why.
