Dunno, some nice chocolate?

I suspect she might be Jewish and I don't want to give her Chalav Stam ;)

maybe a pink pen with sparkles will do the trick :)

Sarcasm, eh?

Personally i think chocolate might give the wrong message to a gal

Don't want to do that...

Didn't BOA have those nullawesomenull ATM's first?

Maybe pick up a box of CY chocolates from Schakolad in MIA?  I know in the winter they can ship stuff via ground for cheap and that is some heavenly chocolate...she'll be sure to push through your next app as well as long as she doesn't get the wrong message from them ;)

In case you don't understand why, you should read this thread. To save you some time, you could have used that credit line as bargaining chip in getting Chase to approve your application.

I though about that. The reasons I did it were two-fold.

1) When I last applied (for myself), they told me the 2 cards I had made me ineligible for more. (I knew this was false, but multiple calls didn't help, and I gave up). I hoped that by her having only 1 card, this wouldn't be an excuse.

2) I've been reading how the CO card may turn into the new United card soon, and I don't want to risk this happening, making her inelegible for the new card.

Either way, we closed her BA account during negotiations, and they gave us SP.

I used to give BestBuy GCs, now I give Amex or Amazon ones.  GCs come in a nice card so you can write a little love letter, err, thank you note.  ;-)

I still believe in a nice & tasty chocolate bar (Dairy if she/he is not allergic... ;)).

I am an outside salesperson for the past 7 years and it always worked and was much appreciated by Ladies, Gentleman Jews or Gentiles... :P It’s called a little token of appreciation.
Of course it has to be appropriate (e.g. not giving a pink nightgown for a 62 year old Male bank manager... :P :P) but I figured it’s more the idea of “giving” and not “what you give”

If there is still a balance remaining on a card you'd don't mind closing when you call recon, can they close the card and shift the balance to the new card?

I used the 3BM, and when I called Reconsideration yesterday, they couldn't find the APPID. I had to give them my SS, and she only let one through. Is there a point to calling again and trying to get another, or should I just take it and run?

I was approved for SW RR Plus and denied for SW RR premiere.  wasnt a 2bm.  separate applications unfortunately.

I had also been approved for two citi AAdvantage and a delta amex gold in the two weeks prior.

The original denial letter said:
"Too many requests were made for new credit
Too many requests for new credit"

I called recon and was told that the 5k limit on the first card is the absolute max chase will give me at this time.
The leter i got in response to this call said  that the reasons were:
"Too many active acounts or too much available credit
you already have the maximum amount of credit we can offer you"

I called recon a second time (credit analyst) and was told again that i cant get approved for more than 5k.  the letter i got in response to the second call said:
"few revolving accounts opened long enough to establish credit history
Not enough accounts opened long enough to establish a credit history"

On the second phone call I was politely informed that the rep was aware that i had called re this issue the day before.

if i was told both times that thres no way i can get an increased credit line, but every letter cited different reasons for the denial, is there any point in me continuing to call and trying the same thing?
