Applied for Business card and called right away.
Rep asked questions etc for like 15-20, said they tentatively approved but a senior advisory has to approve.
They also said answer within 24-48.
Still no answer 4 days later and message says "will receive response in writing within 30 days of app"
just call again. They should be able to push it through. If they say that they are waiting for approval ask if they can please get it now as you are waiting 4 days already

Chase wants me to fax in a SSA  (social security administration) form (to verify my identity) my deadline is approaching and I haven't received the form In the mail yet,  can I download the form online   and fax it in (like amex FR docs which doesn't have to be the one they are sending you) or it has to be the one they are mailing me? ( I have no idea what the form looks like)

When recon recommends a card for approval that needs to be signed off by a senior, does it ever result in a decline?

And btw, if approved, you'll get the offer you applied for, even if the offer expired before the approval.

I did according to wiki info and got "you will receive a decision in 30 days" -- does this mean denied or pending?

I just applied for two cards and was declined. Called recon twice and both times I was told the same line "too many credit inquiries in past 2 years." I only have 2 open Chase cards and only applied for 3 with Chase in past 2 years. I offered to shift balances, close a card... I was told nothing to do. "If you were declined for another reason, we could shift balances, when closed for too many inquiries, it's tough luck." Any advice?
