PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

I just got accepted for the ihg and ritz Carlton cards, (I needed to call in to get approved) I asked them to expedite the cards they said since it's a co branded card they can't expedite it because the hotels need to set up the accounts as well and they can't expedite it...
My point is, perhaps the two weeks message you get sometimes, may not be "random" it may have to do With this (needing to deal with an airline or hotel...) as opposed to the  7-10 days which chase can send it out as soon as they make a decision.

Data points on this might help figure this out.

What cards give the message 7-10 and which ones say 2 weeks/30 days

They can expedite it, but not immediately after approval.

Possibly, but I'm just trying to point out that it is possibly the reason it says different times on the applications...

Doubt it, partner verification is done after approval.

Shouldn't have an affect on application processing time.

Your right, it's not once you get approved it takes time for the hotel/airline to set up an account and that's what takes two weeks, and they write two weeks because if you get approved it will take longer to process.

Sorry not sure if this is the right thread, but:

My family (parents + me) had our 9 year relationship with Chase terminated (like 8 bank accounts + 10 credit cards). They didn't give a reason why (they never do) and also didn't tell us if we ever could do any business in the future. Our relationship with chase was PRISTINE - we spent over $1MM through them, rarely deposited checks, always paid off CCs on time, etc and kept 5 figures in balance. No funny business that I can think of.

So that happened over 1 year ago. I'm wondering if I should even bother ever applying to Chase - does anyone have any experience?

And I don't know about cc's, but my local heimesh chase banker told me, that a couple of months after they shut down my checking account, he will add me on to my wife's account to slowly break me back in. Don't know if that helps u, as chase only shut down my checking and didn't touch my cc (B"H, BA"H) so it clearly wasn't an A/A

How long after seeing the banker (and faxing in the form) can I expect results? Do I call the same number to see what the automated voice says? Or do I just have to sit this one out and wait for snail mail....
Bump

Thanks. I read the link that you posted. They did give me like 30 days to move my rewards outside Chase. They didn't forfeit anything.

Anyway, so if I'm ever going to try, I'll start off with a bank account rather than a credit card due to the simple fact that a Chex inquiry is worth less than a hard credit pull.

Any other ideas?
