Call CS 1-888-338-2586 or 1-800-432-3117 and press # or 1. (If it's asking for your full 16 digits account number, it's 1. If it's asking for only your last 4 digits, it's #)

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

PENDING TO DENIAL ON RECON.  Went to a branch, he says once denied, applying for it again will result in hard pull again and there is nothing he could do for approval and he keeps recommending me Chase saving account that requires $15k deposit for $100 bonus. told him no thanks, he then says you should try Chase Slate card. I told him No that's not why i am here. He had no idea about 5/24 rule

I applied for the CSR on Monday night, I know bad idea, I got pending and called in on Tuesday. They said I had 5/24 but I told them it was mostly AUs and the guy recommended it for approval, but it had to go to verification. I spoke to the verification guy and he also recommended it for approval, but its been sitting pending ever since. I called back on Friday and tonight and they said that there is nothing they can do to speed up the process I just have to wait it out. Anyone have any experience with this?

For the reserve with 5/24?
Yes for CSR but I'm below 5/24.

Any datapoints for recon on 5/24 (hard denial) being able to get reconsidered and how you did it (preferably in regards to sapphire reserve) (no cpc)?

I submitted a SR application on 8/29. I called recon. who mentioned that multiple account have been opened....they where able to approve the application when I mentioned that 7/8 where AU's. After much nudging from Dan & others, I took the plunge and applied for the Marriot...initially I got 7-10 day  shpeel. I called recon. today, and it they rep. reviewed account submitted a recommendation for reconsideration. He told me it has to be reviewed by a more senior lender, but he expects it to go through. He said I will get a letter in one to two weeks. Is that the common procedure? I'm used to them approving (or not) while still on the phone...
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

I'm at 5/24. the oldest card was opened in October. Is it safe to apply for CSR in October or I need to wait to November?

Someone on another forum said that when calling the automated application status line, a decision in "7-10 days" is likely rejection, whereas "within 30 days" will likely lead to approval. Do you guys agree with this?

Belated CONGRADS! on reaching 3K of invaluable posts!!!

I honestly feel that Thingywingy is among the most valuable contributors; only in part due to his lack of "+" and similarly useless and annoying posts! May he blessed with much koches in his continued work for the klal (ie. DDF).

Among his major contributions was the introduction of DDMS hat tips to DDF user profiles!Check out this 97 page thread which he started introducing this great feature! (BTW his suggestion definitely seems to be much more popular than the newly released "like" option ;) If you don't believe me, just ask Dan how many thousands of requests he gets from DDFers claiming they posted DDMS deals first on DDF!)

As Dan wrote to Thingwingy just two days ago... BE STRONG!

I, among my fellow DDFers (even those still ticked at me for my exorbitant Redcard and Stop & Shop Points prices) anxiously await the day we can all celebrate the BIG 4K!

Thank you for the kind words!
A congratulation is in order for you as well on your Sapphire Rerserve! This despite being something link 18/24! (If my math is correct this should be about your 43rd Chase card! (This is only including those under your name!)

I'm surprised you haven't opened a thread selling CPC for $700 a pop! (or are you doing it under cover ie. via PM?)
To commemorate my achievement maybe you can arrange CPC for me at a significantly reduced rate?!

Recon told me I he expects it to be approved, but has to submit to higher ups...will receive letter in week or two. I have always had recon. give me a decision on the phone. Anyone ever have this?

Many people have gotten this; it is usually good news. I called back 2 days later and spoke to a "supervisor" who rushed the decision and got it approved

You're gonna need to do that if you were declined.
