I'm at 4/24, applied for Ink plus, CSR and Marriott in the beginning of November. I called recon for the Ink last week and after being grilled for half an hour, he said he updated my application and I'll get something in the mail in 1-2 weeks. Two questions, one do I call back or wait for whatever decision to come in the mail, and two, do I call recon about he other two cards now or wait until I get a decision on the Ink?

You have to decide on the 30th day if its worth the risk...

True. Is there anything I can do to expedite the Ink app?

I applied last night and wasn't instantly approved. I called both recon numbers this morning. The first guy said that it's in review and I will have an answer within 30 days. He said there is nothing for him to review right now. The second agent read the notes from the first agent and wasn't willing to look at it either.

Will HUCA make it worse as I will have more notes on my account? Better to try a bit later? Not at all?

Thank you

It's a sole prop or S corp with earnings included in personal returns.

My family member is currently 5/25, with the 5th falling off on 11/28. It was a TD Bank Target card, which I'm not even sure counts against 5/24, but I don't want her to apply if it's a guarantee rejection. But since applications are good for 30 days, is there any downside to applying now, and if rejected for 5/24, wait until 11/29 to call in? I'm just worried that waiting until 11/29 will potentially result in first statement closing in January rather than December.

Wait until it falls off. Even if you miss the 2016 travel credit, you can just get it in 2018 and you may get an auto approval if you're under 5/24.
