To fax in verification documents:
#1: 888-643-9624
#2: 888-643-9628
#3: 201-328-3289 (according to a rep from this dept, it's quicker than the other listed numbers)

Call CS 1-888-338-2586 or 1-800-432-3117 and press # or 1. (If it's asking for your full 16 digits account number, it's 1. If it's asking for only your last 4 digits, it's #)
Press 3, then 1, then key in your SSN.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing of our decision, in approximately 2 weeks
It's pending.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision
It's been declined.

Business cards application status: call 800-453-9719.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

Hi all -

Here goes my experience with the Chase recon team, but first a little background is called for. I'm relatively new to the game, only have two cards (BofA CashRewards ($1500) and AMEX Delta ($2000). The BofA card is 8 months old and the AMEX 5 months old. My credit score based on CreditKarma and FICO score from BofA is around 710-715. I applied for the Chase Sapphire Reserve (and Chase Sapphire Preferred at the same time) and received "This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision", essentially a decline. I called recon line the next day and was told that my credit history is too short and that I cannot be approved for that card. I called again today, spoke to a somewhat hostile agent, and was told the same thing.

Is there any hope for approval? What is considered a sufficient credit history length? Seems I have no choice but to wait and apply again but wouldn't want to wait too long nor apply again too soon. Any advice on how to proceed, what to apply for in the interim or how long to wait would be appreciated.

Thanks!
what are your ratios?

Just signed up for CSR and got the message to wait 7-10 days, have a score over 720 and don't own a CC, should I wait to get the denial or should I call already now recon or is it a waste of time?

She has no CR.

She must at least have CR(s), or else Chase is highly unlikely to have approved a $5,000 CL without so much as an ID request.

You were too aggressive. The minimum credit limit for the CSP is $5,000 and the CSR is $10,000. With such a short credit history and no card higher than $2,000, you'd be lucky to get Chase to approve one card at $5,000.

I hear you. Both calls the CSR was the only card discussed. On the first call they asked which application I was calling regarding, on the second call no mention.

Worth calling and discussing the CSP only, any chance there?

Debt-to-income and percentage of credit limits used.

I'd definitely focus on the CSP, and you might not get that one. Chase can be very tough on people who have less than 12 months of credit history and/or no existing credit limit higher than $5,000.

Your Amex Delta is old enough to request a credit limit increase and it will only be a soft pull; maybe try for a higher limit there (online, in account management) and then, if approved, you'll be in better shape if you have to try again with Chase a few months from now.

I have no (other) debt, only credit lines are those two credit cards. Percentage of credit used 3-5%. I allow my card to close with a small amount on them but in theory could bring it down to 0-1%.

I applied for the CSR and freedom unlimited. When I call the app status line it tells me that one is approved and one is still being reviewed 7-10 business days.
I am over 5/24.
How can I find out which was approved (without calling)?
I don't sin, I give myself opportunities to repent.

I've been checking the whole day, don't see any new account-unless I should try looking somewhere else ( been looking on mobile app and chrome desktop)
I had 5/24, last week added 5 Amex so technically was at 10/24.

Finally updated, was the CSR! (I think I forgot to mention that I'm segmented CPC(that means my father has CPC, though I don't)
What's the chances of my fu getting approved?

Won't waste the pull then . it's tough enough to get her
